I heard something from a friend about a rwd tep in the sarasotas area using the awd tranny off of a crv and just disabling the front cv joints. I'm looking into doing that with my del sol. but if i use the awd set-up why not keep it awd... lol

yeah its a buddy of mine..blak fuller. he races pikes peak and scca club racing with his type R. he started up Braille motorsports down in sarasota. its using all CRV drivetrain on a gsr motor with the front wheels disabled

Blake's a cool guy. Blake has great ideas too, plus he's into weight savings hardcore.
For the "I'm going to get flamed" statement of the day:
The real Honda guys, like the ingenuitive and creative ones that were front runners 15 years ago in the import scene, could benefit drifting tremendousally. Guys like Blake could possibly give Drifting an identity of its own in the US rather than the J-spec emulating trend that many see it to be.
