Drift Miami in associtation with Combustion INC. is putting on a drift clinic this sunday at the Hialeiah speedway!! Registration starts around 9am and it should be the same price or cheaper than the last event in Miami. kind of a last minute thing but its better then nothing. but its open to everyone and anyone who wants to come. Drifting is drifting so I'll be there.

this is just a drift practice event. and it will start out inthe parking lot and as the day progresses the better drivers will be aloud to go out on the track part to show their stuff. Registration starts at 9am and the entry fee will be $35 day of and $5 spectator. Its been on Importspeedsouth.com and when i found out about it i put it on here cause i think Tampa has the right to know and go down and tear it up.

Yet you were allowed to COMPETE in a competition held there on the actual track. What the fuck is right... that is pretty stupid.

do the words "insurance waiver" and "liability" ring a bell?

But he was allowed to *compete* in the competition held in the same place. I guess the people putting this on don't have enough insurance for under 18-years-old?? Is that what you're saying?

I'm sure they are already paying out the arse having any kind of insurance for a high speed track .
You have to sign a waiver anyway maybe they would let him with some type of parental consent ?

...and they probably could've lost their ass if something happened to him and there was no paperwork signed by a parent or legal guardian unless he's an emancipated minor. Legally they really should not have let him run without such a form....if you're a minor, then you pretty much have no legal right to speak for yourself it would seem. They could have some really weird insurance, but I don't know of any that do not operate this way.
just to let the preassumptious people know, my grandpa was infact with me and i did infact sign waivors and so did he.
and infact miami track gave me a waivor to bring back so i can specifically compete on their track all the time. just have to get it notarized. so did somebody special suggest that they dont allow under 18 or am i just imagining things.
and honestly im sick of all this fucking bullshit, regina didnt attack the event in any way shape or form. i think all you need to grow the fuck up seriously, im 17 and im telling you this shit, cmon.

I didn't "badmouth" anything, Bill. So I have no idea what you're talking about. You didn't have to jump down my throat. It just seemed a little odd is all. What does "growing up" have to do with any of this anyhow? And how does it concern you and not me??

Oh, I understand that completely. It was completely legal the last time Evan participated also. That's why I was confused and thought it was odd. :dunno: Thanks for answering my question though. :)
