Hi, my names Jake. I have been doing alot of research trying to learn as much about cars as I can without the aid of actually being able to work on one, except when mine brakes and I have to fix it. I was wondering if anyone knew of a web site that was like an encyclopedia for car parts that actually went really in depth. I don't need to know the simpler things, like how to do a tune up or how an engine works. I am looking for something more in depth, only problem is I'm not sure what this is because if I knew then I wouldn't need to ask. If soemone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Also I have been reading forums for several months now and I still don't know what all these anacronyms are is there a list somewhere that defines them?

Ya something like that. Only more in depth. How stuff works is just a rough over view. I out grew there explanations long ago.

Go buy an automotive technology book, one you would find from a high school. Or at least something along that line and scan threw it. You have to start somewhere!
