I am in the finishing stages of getting the parts needed to turbo my 88 crx si. whats left is hondata, obd1 conversion, fuel pressure gauge and egt, fuel pump,a few odds and ends, and the current subject i/c plumbing.
I have a fmic that will take up the whole front mouth on the stock bumper.
what I need is
short pipe that runs from the filter to compressor inlet, compressor to i/c and i/c to intake mani.
does make a kit for my car??? I have looked around and I can not find just the piping all the kits include the i/c
I also need 2 mount tabs welded onto the i/c as it has no way to mount to the car right now, I was thinking of haveing the tabs welded to the pipes just before and after the i/c and letting the connectors hold the i/c in place but I don't know if its a good idea or not.
or who can fab the piping for me at a reasonable price.
also where is a good place to get the connectors and clamps ( which clamps are best)
thanks for the help.

cmon some one has to know. I can't be the only one that has put an intercooler on a turbo car in the tampa area.

I'm in pretty much the same stage as you w/ my turbo project. First, I think it would be better to get the mounting tabs welded to the intercooler itself and bolt the intercooler to the bottom of your bumper or something like that. I just think it would be more stable and put less stress on the connectors.
As far as piping goes, I'm just going to go to the local steel shop and get various 45, 90 and straight sections of Stainless pipe and piece it together like I want it then have my cousin weld it up for me. There are several people on this board who are proficient welders and are always offering their expertise so they could help you weld it. Plus I think in the end, stainless will look hot with the welds on it and polished up.
For connectors I think most people go to Amazon Hose in Tampa. If you go to JGSTools.com you can see what type of connectors they sell then wither order from them or go to Amazon and get the same thing.

go to napa and buy some 180 degree bends and just cut them where you need em, and go to amazon and get some connectors or go to lowes and get some

 Damn, that's a good idea. That way you can get whatever angle you need out of it.

exactly and they have all different sizes, plus if you use one of thos green pads your mom washes dishes with and rub em a little bit, they kinda polish up a bit, cheap and easy, and you can do it at home

I was pointed in this direction http://www.atpturbo.com/ the pricing seems to be good compared to other sites I have seen, with one exception. for the clamps ebay has a set of 10 for like $28, and I have seen the connectors on ebay but I don't remember the price.
I need to pop the hood on my car and see if the routing I have in my head will work. if it does It will run approx $330 plus welding from this site or cheaper if I can go through ebay.
Do you think stainless will look better or the aluminum? Plus I am thinking about aluminums ability to transfer heat, it may not make a diff... if anyone knows if alum pipes will run cooler intake air temp throw in your 2 cents.
I think I am going to have to replace the windshield washer bottle with a generic aftermarket model and relocate the ac resivoir since the hole they sit in is where I think the i/c piping will run.

ps on the website I think I may snag one of the flex joints and weld it onto the downpipe.

Thanks for the web site man, lots of cool shit. I like it better than JGSTools' site. I personally like stainless because you get the high polished look and where the welds are joining the two pieces of pipe together you get a nice gold color tint added to the metal.
