Ipod in car: Seems like a waste of money, just to have somethign else tolook at and control? so youve got a lot of songs in your car.. I'll take the mp3cd's over having a second display to look at tochange tracks,and one for volume. Its like having a cd player, with a different display, and a tuner, with its own display, and a tape deck with its own display.. really, who needs all that?

Something I dont understand what people do incar audio is why they feel the need to blast their systems in neighborhoods or in parking lots. Do you think you really look cool with ur system blasting in these places?? Do u really think people with their families in parking lots wanna hear that or people in their house resting wanna hear u going thru the neighborhood? U look like a fucking idiot not better. this kid i knew in highschool built his own bandpass box for his bazooka 12's... problem was it was made out of plywood and didn't seal at all so the subs were basically running free air... sounded like shit and was painted up like a whore... blue yellow and green everywhere... i was kinda sad, but i suppose it was a fitting enclosure for the subs.

my stuff is normally loud when im driving, but at stoplights, or in nieghborhoods, apartment complexes, drive thru lines, parking lots etce tc.. its turned down. I have some respect for everyone else

eh, i wouldn't call what i do bumping... i don't listen to nearly enough bass heavy stuff (rap, techno, etc.) to bump... i'm usually listening to something like dave or radiohead or on crazy days stuff like mudvayne... though on occasion i do pop in a jurassic 5 cd or something

I see it everyday in my apartment complex.. cars (nice or beaters) driving through with their shit cranked all the way up, the only bass provided by some factory 6x9's that are cracked and warped to hell.. and all you here is something comparable to someone crinkling up some aluminum foil.

I also hate blasting tweeters with no bass or mids..

I don't understand the people @ gas stations that insist on letting me know their bad taste in music. One time i was filling up in Temple Terrace and a black guy in his P.O.S. old Buick comes pulling up to the pump adjacent to mine....trunk rattling like shit. He gets out of his car and walks inside to pre-pay, and leaves his music on! It was playin at some obnoxious level that could be huuuuurd a mile away, and playing the WORST MUSIC. I think the song only consisted of the words, bitch, ******, hoe, slut, slap, fuck, rape, shoot, kill, etc....all slowed down. There were also little children and mothers around too. While the guy was inside, waiting in line for a few minutes, a mother goes over, reaches in the guys car and turn that shit off. The dude comes out and fuckin goes into flip mode on the mom. The manager see's this and calls the cops cuz it looked to get out of hand. The cop comes and breaks up the argument....

On another story, two nights ago there was this suave PR guy blastin' his music @ the RaceTrack gas station on bearass. His white g/f or whatever didn't seem amused or to be having a good time.

Stop lights fort the most part i'll turn it down unless there is something zasty playing like the Beverly Hills Cop theme or the something besides the average crack-head rap you hear rattling the trunks of those annoying rice burners. Ussually i'll turn it down at stop lights but depending on the song and mood sometimes you just gotta let it blair. Besides, no harm hearing the ren and stimpy theme with some good bass to it eh??

It's near impossible to eliminate trunk rattle on alot of cars, short of welding the lid shut. In my experience, it's usually just something you have to except with the territory.

when i pull into the parking garage at work, i usually set off a few alarms between my system and my exhaust and i think its funny. no one else does, but when driving in neighborhoods or stopped next to someone with their window down, i usually tone down the tunes.

And as if the PT cruiser guy wasnt bad enough, they got a new guy out there now with a plymouth mini van packin 6 tvs that go inside your house, a 15" Visionik sub under the rear of the van, and a nice legacy amp with a blue diamond thing in the middle to power all the no named highs. Oh yes my friends its hot.
