View Full Version : Truck purchase debacle
Other than a crown vic. Which would be a sweet car to own, a good half ton or small truck would be nice.
What am I looking for, in a mid 90s, V6 4x4 in respect to cost, and reliablity? I'm thinking one of those yota tacomas. Since in just about every documentry, you see one of those, beaten to shit out in the desert, still running strong. That has got to mean something.

Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Mazda B-Series...Jeep Cherokee Classic would be nice too (but not a pickup)...
i have a small truck, Nissan XE. it comes in a V6 extended cab with 4x4 option and is pretty cheap. i havent had a problem with my truck yet and its pushing 10yrs old.

Can't beat a Tacoma V6 4x4 from the Mid nineties. Great trucks, reliable, good off road, etc.
Ranger's aren't bad either, just get the 4.0L and FX Offroad package. Chevy S10's I'm not a fan of, but if you like make sure to find a ZR package.

I HIGHLY recommend the Tacoma. Mine takes a licking pulling a 3500 pound boat all over sothern california and keeps going strong. Just make sure you get the V6 cuz the 4cyl has NO balls.
I also suggest a taco...
i dont personally own one but know many who do and use the 4x4 ALOT...
as a matter of fact here...
