Go Here (http://www.wkjeeps.com/kmenu.htm) for specs and features. Hemi and Diesel will be available.
Looks hideous. I'm glad that the new Xterra looks good. I think that's the direction I'll be heading/

Looks OK for what its meant to be, a "LUXO" Jeep. I like the Hemi and Diesel offering though. I know I'm very interested in the Diesel Liberty to replace my Isuzu.

I like the Hemi as well.. but if you get the Limited with the Hemi, you're talking over 40K price tag. No thanks..
im dissapointed...it makes me sad that jeeps are heading towards sellout to the crap luxo SUVs. :(

Agreed..although Jeep has always had the luxo SUV (with the Grand Cherokee), they've gone hideous.. they've forgotten what Jeep is all about.

Yes and No. While the Bad ass Cherokee aka XJ of past days has went to the dogs w/ the intro of its replacement the Liberty aka KJ w/ its IFS (bleh) and the Great Grand Cherokee has pretty much went the way of the Lexus/Luxo type SUV, they still do offer the Wrangler and continue to offer it in some cool variations w/ the Rubicon, Unlimited, Willy's, etc. Now the Day they put IFS on a Wrangler and give it non removable doors, etc. Jeep will officially bury themselves 6 feet under.
JEEP take some advice DON'T go the route it seems your headed. Stay away from the Mundane, soccer mom light PLEASE. Put a Diesel in the Wrangler and leave it alone. Make a Liberty w/ both front and rear axles, hehe. Let the Grand Cherokee be your one and only Luxo cruiser, leave the rest to us 4x4 enthusiasts. Hehehe, oh well wishful thinking!

Oh I agree.. My comments were directed more in the direction of the WK.. Jeep makes an outstanding vehicle.. the current XJ, TJ, and WJ are just simply awesome vehicles..but the WK is just going to be (as you put it) soccer mom-styled garbage.

I like it and would like mine in red please. :)
yeah, i feel the same. i love jeeps cause they are fun as hell but i hope this is the last soccer-mom garbage they put on the road. the grand cherokee was bad enough (my mother had one) but this is over the top.

There was nothing wrong with the ZJ or the WJ.. They are just as offroad-able, if not better, then a TJ or XJ...It's just offroading in comfort, that's all.

I couldn't agree with you more. That's exactly what my Grand Cherokee is, offroading comfort. What I don't get is why people buy SUV's and don't get 4WD - that's just a no-no in my book. If your going to get an SUV, you might as well get 4WD. You never know when you'll use/need it and you never know the thrill of having it until you do. Just having the option to go offroading is a thrill. :D

Agreed, although for most, 4WD is a useless option... it adds more to insurance, it decreases gas mileage, costs more to repair certain suspension issues, and gives you more scheduled maintance to worry about. Also wears on your tires more, as well as additional front end weight.
So if someone isn't going to EVER need 4WD, then I think it would be a waste. I personally will always get 4WD, but I use it. A 35 year old soccer mom most likely will never need their 4WD..

While I love ZJ's and WJ's, no way are they better off road than a TJ, not happening.
But man are there some bad ass ZJ's on jeepforums.com and jeepsunlimited.com. The thing I like most about XJ's, ZJ's and WJ's are the way the look when hooked up though. THey all safari like, very cool stuff. Oh well for now I need to finish my CJ project.

Well, I'm 24 and I use it to cart my 2 boys around - other wise known as my boyfriend and my dog. I agree with the average person not ever needing 4WD while still wanting the room and luxury of an SUV. I for one will NEVER own a Mini Van so an SUV will always be my choice of vehicle. But then again, I will always have 4WD because you never know when you'll need/use it. I have always loved Jeeps and I know we'll have Bertha until she dies. :) And then I'll just want another one. Even though my boyfriend wishes we had bought a Chevy K1500 instead. ;)

I like it. Lift it about 10 inches and slap on some 38's. It will look tough!

I don't know if we'll get another one or not, being that the new model is just hideous.. I'm afraid we'll end up switching to another manuf. (New XTerra?).
I LOVE my Jeep, and this has been, by far, the BEST vehicle I've EVER owned, as well as best looking, best quality, and most fun to drive. I just wish Jeep didn't drop the ball with the WK.
Let us not forget that one of the better offroading jeeps from a LONG time ago is the M151 which had four wheel IFS and are pretty desirable right now.

i myself never understood that either. that and some things that i refuse to call an suv (pos is more like it) being made just for looks. if it looks fine, then wonderful. if it can't handle the mud, get it off the trail (or rather on...hmmm...confusing)
