Supra's Scared to Drag Race?

Ok so Saturday night a group of supras and a 3000GT and I believe some stealths ran in to me and my friends in our civics. So were all rolling at 60+ mph ok cool.. So we play a bit from a roll. We hang right with them threw third, then they pull slowly away in fourth and fifth :roll: ... Ok thats kool they have turbos and were on the motor...


OK so about an hour later we run into these guys on westshore and catch a light at Kennedy..Lined up reving at each other... Do they go NO :mad: :mad: They were too scared to race a four banger...OH but then once we got going 60 again All of a sudden they have balls again!!!!!:roll: I've never had a V8 guy scared to launch their car NEVER!!! Whats the point of making all that power if you cant put it to the ground, Bunch of dyno queens :o

Ok dude that was a very nice story you just MADE UP THERE. I was the one at the light when you and your rice boyfreind started reving your motors. We were on our way home. I had no intention on racing you as a matter of fact I didn't even get on it at all. Just cause you rev your motor at some one doesn't mean they are going to race you. Oh and if thats all you got you might want to hook up a bottle or something you're going to need it.


I don't have a problem running from a stop PM me and we can arrange something at the track. I don't race from a stop on the street. Especially on a saturday night in that area where cops are all over the place.

I made that up on one of those CNN templates that were floating around last year. I posted it on Supra forums for fun because at the time there was a Supra guy here on TR running his mouth about drag racing (at the track). Anyway it got locked about one hour after I posted it because about 10 pissed off Supra owners decided to break out the flame thrower.

Glad you liked it, for you other Supra owners here on TR know it was done in good fun. ;)

it all boils down to one simple aspect. if you race from a roll then dont race at a light and then race from a roll 1/2 block later, thats pretty lame. you have just as much of a chance getting nabbed at a light as you will going from a roll. Im just glad you guys didnt run the red light like the chap in the rx7 did last week.

i was next to all you fuckers on the bridge. there was a shitload of 3000gts and supras then 2 or 3 hatches. i know my roll on the bridge with supras and i would hope the hatches would too...when i hit my 155 limit theyre still chilling in 5th with a whole gear left. i didnt even bother...

I agree, it takes a lot more skill to race from a dead stop! Everyone complians about traction, well learn how to launch your car!

I've yet to find someone that will race me from a stop! Not like my car is bad ass or anything outta the hole, but i do feel confident that i know how to handle what I've got.

If your you wanna race someone from a roll, have the courtesy to also race them from a stop.

this isnt the normal civic ricer kids. these guys are old school, though i know some of the supras around here would eventually win from a roll, but dont take the civics for granted.

i also agree with cornish, getting caught is possible from either dig or roll. i guess all the noise the tire spinning would be creating would attract alot more attention than high revving civics or anything from a roll. :nono:

What just cause he rev's his motor I'm supposed to get mad or something and race him right there.
