I was in fucking walmart.. 20 minutes. We do the same shit every sunday.. go to dog park at 8amish.. then go to walmart across the street and do our shopping while they relax and cool off. Been doing this for 6 months and no problems. Came out today and opened the lift gate and there one of them was.

JL will charge half of the subs value, but when you get them back it's like getting a new sub.... they will be reconed and refoamed and tested

Well, they're W6's.. worth a little bit of money. Getting new ones off eBay where I don't know the quality, etc is just playing games that I don't feel like playing.
So no one knows anyone locally?

WELL, good news.. found a local place that can just replace the foam.. $48 per speaker, plus I printed a 15% off coupon.
I feel a hell of a lot better. They also have grill kits.. $9 for 12" grill, 1.00 for each 4pack of clip kits..
The place is Speaker Exchange if anyone is curious.

Yep.. Reconing replaces everything but the magnet. As long as the magnet is in tact and in good condition, then you'll be good to go.
Call them.. speakerex.com.. For my subs, it's going to be $100 ea to recone..
