Sub mounting ?s

I jus got a new car and I'm getting rid of my 15's that I had in my Explorer. I decided to go with two AUDIOBAHN AW121T. These r the 12s with the flam caskets. I plan on mounting them upside down or inside out or whatever its called. I was just wondering if there were any mounting specs. that I should be aware of. I assume that there isn't to much since ventilation isn't an issue. Any info of any kind involing this type of mounting would be appreciated.

It's called "inverted" and box specs should be the same as if they were mounted normally (minus the compensation for displacement ofcourse).

Good thing about inverting subs is u dont have to worry about how much space the sub will take up. Just use the regular box u would use . Also when u wire the subs reverse the polarity (plus on the amp wires to the neg on the sub. Neg on the amp wires to the plus on the sub. )

netime, cuz if u didnt the sub would push the cone as if it was in freeair and itll sound like shit and ull b like wtf is up wit my shit. U gotta make the cone go the opposite way as if it were in a box so it pushes the air infront of it instead of around it

Huh? I've ran an inverted sub before and I didn't wire it any different...sounded fine. :dunno:

hmmm......... only reason itds put the subs backward is cause there audiobahn and they got the cool design. just takes up more space in the trunk.
