The interesting thing here is that the casting numbers were removed from the front side of the cylinder head. It was obvious they were ground off and buffed.
My guess is they were using a better than normal head on this test mule to enhance performance or were trying something not yet available.
Look at the front of the head in these pics., you will see what I mean.

The interior had some funny points as usual for GM.
The shifter appeard to be the same unit they have been putting in every GM since my grandfathers El Camino in the mid 80's.
The rest of it was alright but still looked to be vintage GM parts with a little extra trim.

you guys have no idea what so ever.
Scott have you LOOKED at ANY of the mustang interiors?.. OMG they are shoddy.. if the interiror of the GTO is even remotely related to the interior of the Holdens..its a kabillion times better than anything Ford has in the states.
GM at least isnt afraid to put a decent transmission in a car.
