Couple runs Sat Night

Lined up again with the turbo mirage (nouseforname) from a 55mph roll or so in 3rd. He was in boost and took off fast, probably jumped out about a car. I got into 4th and started to pull just a tad and then clankety clank clank spark spark... he blew his intercooler off and left some chunks of it on the bridge.

Got the car back together, we lined it up again at a little higher MPH, maybe 60-65mph and I pulled about a car up top, good run though. Good guys, he's a few mods away from destroying me for sure.

Lined up with a black 1g with a front mount, AFC... maybe some more stuff, that's all that I could see from the outside. I let him get the hit in 3rd and I pulled immediately and didn't look back.

I was running a little bit more boost this week, but the car didn't feel as strong as last week. I think I'm still leaking boost somewhere, hopefully I'll get it straightened out soon.

You can tell how much of a difference a fmic makes in 4th gear when the stock side mount really starts to get heat soaked.

I ended up running that yellow srt-4 after you guys took of. We went from a 50/55 roll and I wasn't in the right rpm range for boost, so the srt-4 jumped about a car ahead at first, and by the middle of 4th(115mph) I was a couple cars ahead.

Nice, I kinda wanted to run some more cars but I haven't really built much confidence in my car yet. I'm still ironing out some tuning gremlins and some boost leaks, hopefully soon I'll be in the right frame of mind to challenge some random people. Good fun though. Did you fix your intercooler?

it actually wasnt too bad..... he got me good from 60 to 120 or so where i let out but i was still puttin up a pretty good fight from about 3 or 4 cars back :lol: the car is extremely quick though I wont bullshit but after I did some investigating when the hood was up at the shell station i was pretty impressed with the fight i put up.....

not sure yet but that run I was lucky enough to have the boost at 14.5 psi even though i was leaning out pretty bad... i would expect around those boost levels somewhere around the ballpark of 300.....

WTF!? I thought you were a 13 second car? If you did hang with him and he downshifted into the gear he should have, I'm damn impressed.

If that was insane, That is a high 13 second car. Mine is an automatic. I have not run mine at the 1/4 mile track yet so I don't know about mine. I reeled him in fast and he slowed down as soon as I caught him. as soon as I punched it I was on him./

I ran a 13.9 at 102.6 with no second gear and third gear grinding pretty bad.... and that was on 9 psi (low boost) on street tires.... i think i can get some mid to low 12s on good tires with a good tranny and some tuning for the amount of boost i was running saturday night... like i said it should be in the ball park of 300 but it needs tuning.... 300 in my car is very capable of low 12s.....

And also as I said before I got very lucky because I had JUST turned the boost up before I ran into him on the bridge and after I ran him and saw how lean i was going, i turned it down to 10.5

If I knew your car, i would definately run up beside you. Stop the bullshit about running on low boost. We will get our chance to run and I look forward to it. Pm me and we will meet up Saturday and take care of business. I will be at sunhine tonight if you want to give it a go there. I would rather do it at the track and then post the slips. Not sure if he has s/c tags on it, but it does have a cowl hood. It's a black 93 cobra with a supercharger .. how many of those are there?

Luckily for me you only downed it to fourth, Im sure droppin to third would have substansially lengthened the gap and I wouldve looked even worse in front of the girl that was riding with me...

By the way where about would your revs be at if you dropped to third around 70/75 and how far out of your powerband were you by only dropping to fourth???? (trying to get an idea of just how fast your car is ;) )

And yes, the contour was pissing me off too.... He was staying side by side with me and any time id slow down to give him a hint that hes not worth my time, hed slow down too.... he kept revving at me like he wanted some of the family car.... what a ricer :lol:

almost 100 more.

3rd at 70 would probably put me around 4k I think which would be a sweet spot. 4th puts me around 3k where I just start to make boost.

Btw, I wasn't driving the car at the time, a buddy was taking it for a spin.:cool:
