i dont really post many of my kills, but i figured i'd put a few of them up...first was a newer model GT w/ exhaust and intake, we went over GIS, very good race, we started in 2nd, i got a good leap in front, by about 120 he was at my rear quarter panel and not gaining or falling behind, so we both shut down, and gave one another props (this is the dude thats friends with the kid that drives the eclipse w/ skyline tail lights, the dude in the mustang is a very cool kid), after that i immediately dispatched a swap hatchback, but that doesn't go with the title, so onto the next :lol:, foxbody GT w/ exhaust work, got like a car out and slowly pulled away, pretty quick car, driver was cool too, we stopped and talked for a minute....98 GT...that was kinda wrong, classic rich kid w/ his g/f, got next to him and downshifted and goosed it a little, dude downshifts in return and hits it, i hit then, and instantly start gaining hard...so i start coming in and out of the pedal to stay next to him :lol: dude looks over puzzled, i then smile, mash the pedal, and instantly put, well, alot of distance between us, very quickly....then the ugly...a Mach 1, probably stock, put about 2 cars on me, fairly quickly...glorified GT my ass, those things get down....then last night, what appeared to be a stock foxbody LX...wasn't a stock foxbody LX, we ran from a pretty ridiculous speed, not by choice, it just kinda happened....he steadily gained on me until he had about a car and a half lead...we pull over and i find out he had a 347 under the hood (stroked/bored 302??, i always thought an LS1 was a 347)...i guess its pretty cool that i didn't get totally wiped, he gave me props and told me i had a good sleeper....but i have to say he definitely takes the sleeper award....so the score is 3-2, mind you i drive a 2nd gen dsm that is basically stock except for downpipe/catback, filter, fuel pump and a clutch...12 psi on T25 :D ..sorry for the long post :lol:

As for the difference between the Cobra and Mach in price. When I bought mine I paid 31k out the door. I would have paid 38k-40k out the door for a Cobra at that time. The other thing is I am a drag oriented guy, the Mach 1 is basically a drag pack car from the factory. My car went 13.2 @ 104 stock which is not much slower then most Cobras. Now it has run 12.9 but will run mid 12's easily, which is right there with most stock Cobras.

And yes, you can spray the hell out of them.

and now you can get a mach1 for mid 20's and a cobra for low 30's (high .. real high 20's if your lucky) .. so there is usually about 4-7K diff in price.. thats enough for a Vortech for the mach1 that will pwn the stock Cobra.. but in reality..i went the Mach1 for the style.. i love the agressive looks of it over the Cobra..

damn son, you paid more for your mach than my Cobra new! if you would have saw the price I could have gotten a mach you would be sick to your stomach..I almost got one but I have always like the Cobra prestige and I got a great deal, I want my g/f to trade her 00 v6 in on one, mach's are what the 99 and 01 cobra's should have been..I like the style of the mach's, not necessarily over the cobra but they look sweet as hell, I wouldnt mind having that hood though!

I am sick about it. 6 months later I could have been out the door for 22k and seeing as I put 10k down, that would have been real nice. Oh well, you have to pay a price to have something before others do, that's the price I paid and the lesson I learned.
