April 2nd - Hialeah Raceway Drift Competition!!!!

We will be having a drift competition on April 2nd 2004 at Hialeah Speedway, the same location as Miami Slide. However this time it will be on the track!!! Expect 3rd gear speeds as you slide past the grand stands D1 style!

There will be prizes!
There will be trophys!
There will be hot bitches! (optional)
There will be lots of fun for everyone
Team Falken's very own JR will be there in the Secret Services / Falken / DGTrials sponsored 240sx!!

that track scares me, i guess you are moderating who does or doesnt get in, but if youre not you should... someone is bound to hit that bish, and if i was competing it would probably be me, haha. gotta even out the damage to the right side, you know?

The promoter I am working with has ties with lots of professional racers -- even guys like Randy Pobst, Tony Kanaan, etc. There will be some big big names coming to the event with "real" race cars. Secondly, how retarded would it be if I competed in my own competition? I'm going to be a judge, not a competitor. I may go out and do some exhibition runs, but I am not competing. I've also put together a score sheet which makes the event almost 100% objective as opposed to being subjective. This score sheet will also apply at Beaver Run and any of the Sideways Salvation Series events.

I'm working with Matt on the invites, he's supposed to email me a list of heads.

It will be run similar to a "normal" drifting competition -- some practice time, some qualifying rounds, some eliminators, and then the "finals". No tandems though.

You guys sure do whine a lot.

I will take as many pics as I can - 35mm film is expensive, and it takes a long time to be developed on CD (I still haven't gotten my practice session pics developed).

Blake didn't seem to have all that much trouble on the track with the RWD ITR, and the drivers selected to compete will be compitent enough to handle it.

Coincidence has it that i am driving through friday on my way to a scuba diving trip in Key Largo. I'd love to come by (spectate) for the event since i missed out on the first miami drift. Could you guys tell me when and where? Maybe I could get some nice pics for ya's

WELL i wish i could of been there to cheer ever one on but i went thro a ngiht of hell... my frinds car blew the fuck up half way down the allie and we where stuck at a rest stop form 5:30 to 11:23.. i wanted to see this so bad i quit my job so i could go and look what happend.... i say i was OWNED...:mullet:
