So who is going to be coming out this weekend. I would like to meet up with a couple of the people from TR if possible. Some people who know how to stay out of trouble. I think everyone in here knows that I am not a police officer and I am not asking for the race spots. I know most of them. I would just like to chill with a few people who actually have fast cars and best mods are intakes, fart cans, and rims,,, Oh and lots of stickers. Those are serious horepower gains.

Sounds like a nice car G3t. I go to Gandy but never seem to see anything out there worth racing. With the right tires, I will be in the 7s. Just judging by what I am currently running. I have some bolt ons and other stuff. I am going to go with a 410 gear here shortly with a 3800 stall convertor and 125 shot. I am still thinking about a new cam. Any suggestions?

well i dont know i have a 580 589 solid roller in my car with a 4000 stall 4:11 gears alum. heads 1 3/4 inch headers 3 1/2 flows and i just gotta 175 kit but if i was you i would get roller little more expensive and maintance but alot more power and more responsive

Injected. It is a 2000 Z-28 LS1. Right now my best time is an 8.4 with like a 2.4 60 foot time. Pretty shitty traction. I need to get a handle on that before anything else. Explain the roller rocker thing to me.

Ummm ... 2000 z28 and your suggesting going to a roller cam? You kidding? Either you don't know what your talking about or you are incredibly unfamiliar with newer engines, which I find really hard to believe if you have all that work done to your car.

nah dude they are center bolt gm heads that have been cnc ported to match my intake and 202 valves put in them
the fastest i have had my car is 7.59 on the motor but it usually runs 7.60's but i just got a 175 shot

i broke my tranny so it has a big split in it but i am needing to get that welded i have a stock th350 in my car now so it sucks but it should still ru 7's with this tranny....my dads truck run 4.50's in the 1/8 =-)

I have 2 cars. 1 is a 91 Camaro with a 350 with alot of work done to it and my other car is a 95 civic with alot of work done to it. but the civic looks like crap because of the previous owner got in a little wreck with it in the front.

I have about 4k invested in my swap. its carb now instead of inj. but it should only cost you about $200 at most if you have the motor already and a 5 speed.

yea I did my own swap at my pace because I already had another car to drive so its been about 4 months between the funds for the new motor and finding the time to do it. It normaly should only take about 2 days to do.

Yes I did sell the nissan. I did not see the logic in putting 7 grand into a 13 year old car so that I could say I drive a silvia. Most of my buds have muscle cars so that is what I am going to stick with. This is all in fun. Launch is a buddy of mine. He just tends to think that his car is an extension of his penis so he gets a bit touchy. No hard fellings but driving an F1 Maclaren would not help that situation. Oh well. The show did well last night. Great launch. He had me by a car length at the 60ft mark. I caught him but it wan an excellent launch. If I could do that, I would be a mid to high 7 I think.

Yeah, you would be right around high 7s with that 84mph trap speed of your's. Probably 7.8 or 7.9 at best though.

My car has no front sway bar, 4cyl front springs, subframe connectors, hotchkis upper/lower control arms w/ 275 bfg comp t/a DR's. I actually have a descent suspension setup to launch for even when my car starts making good power.

I'd still have to say my favorite part of the night was when on my first burnout I looked to my left and there was a kid sitting there taking a picture of my car with the tires smoking ... I guess my car looks pretty cool, I'm just a couple neons away from making the cover of a magazine. :D
