the l98 was available from 1988is-1992 in third gen camaros and also in corvette's. l98 was an rpo code for the 350 tpi motor which was available in either rpo 1le which was a scca preped car stripped base model, the b4c which was a police version, or the irocz before 1990 and z28 after 1990 until 1992. the camaros all had automatics for anyone keeping score if they had an l98

That was an excellent pass JL. weight reduction, Nitrous, and you need to swap out that Ford emblem and put a Chevy one in its place and you will be in the mid to low 11s. I think the Chevy emblem will add the most hrsepower. I just don't know of anyone that will manufacture them. Everyone I called for you refused and told me that putting light up emblems on a muscle car would just rice the thing out.

OK this is where I have to interject now that juiceboy has caught Zacsls1 fever of bashing imports. Boost and weight reduction more than equals displacement. My car is only 2 10ths slower than JL's truck running a stock sr20det at 15psi. Once the new turbo goes on with the injector upgrade you not only will make upgrades but your gonna need the ron jeremy pill also.

after you came back at me so strong after my first post to you.

I actually do respect alot of IMPORT drivers, the dig from me
about stickers & the Power Pill was directed at RICER'S!!!
I'm just over come by some of these guy's who bug you for a race
and then when they lose you hear things like; you would of lost if
my motor had eight cylinders or you wouldn't of beat me from a roll "Classic RiceBoy".We all no the type, so no need to get into depth.
In fact I respect alot of Imports on another level compared to
most Domestic guy's, As a Performance Tech, not just a Tech "Parts Changer" at some dealership. In the 80's when the
Mustang trend was in full force, I built alot of motors and setup
alot of cars for these guy's in the Tampa-Clearwater area, I was one of the first tech's to setup a 84' Ford T-Bird Turbo Coupe to run in the 10's. So I do understand the mechanical level of Imports, Some of the HP these cars are generating is incredible,
and not to mention the power to weight ratio advantage you guy's have. Type R even with a weight of 3750# you would still have a 1.6 sec. advantage in the 1/4.
I don't dislike Imports, It's just my opion that a suitable V8
has better base potential than a V6 or 4 cylinder. The lack of torque is hard to over come, and Torque wins Drag Race's.
To dispute the claim of adding boost and lowering weight to
equal V8 displacement. I can do the same thing to my V8 and
I have 4 more cylinders to wreak the benefit of. So in doing this, I not only increase my performance, that you just equaled "allegedly", I get more gains from the same modifications
as you because of my displacement.
This is just my opinion, and I'm sure it will be debated, But #'s
tell it all!!!
I will make a special trip out this weekend, I would like to meet

JL, this was a while ago ... probably 6-8 months, but did you run a green 97 z28 over gandy? The lightning put like 2-3 cars from 60-100 then it leveled out and the silver lightning that I was racing let off.

type r, you have a supercharged 01 cl type s, whats it run, i heave read up on a guy that s/c a tl type s and the best he could pull was around a 13.7-8 what are you runing, 13.5-6?

Type R's car has a strong lower mid-range he will be a good race for a stock L. Most stock Ls run 13.5-14.0 in the 1/4
