That is cheap trust me.

And since most people that have been going to the track lately have only been getting a 2-3 runs and waiting in long lines after paying $20 it makes $35 with little to no lines and as many runs as you can stand look pretty darn good. :D

Grandpa's car's going to have a busy weekend, Breathless Performance's shootout is Sunday the fourth. For those that think this is expensive, Breathless was $135 to pre-register. My fuel problem from last time is taken care of, and I picked up a couple of tricks at gearhead the other day so look for some good numbers from the Buick, or look out for flying debris, stock motor can't last forever  Just turned 130,000 miles :o Now I'm sure I jinxed myself.

Cheap? I moved here from NC and it would cost $10 to run...usually could get in atleast 7 or 8 runs.:dunno:

I was thinking about it, this is a rip off, I think I'll take my chances on the street, racing on the street is free [/sarcasm]

What the hell is going on here? I don't remember anyone bitching about the price last time. It's so worth it to go to a private event and hang out with all your really close friends you've made on the internet (oops, sarcasm is sneaking in again  ) It is worth it though, anyone that doesn't think so, save your money, go to 1320, I'm sure you'll love it, plus we won't have to listen to any bitching at the track

I'm hoping by Track Event #8 my car will be running. This makes three track events in a row missed because of a broken car, but at least this time I'm not putting my name on the preregister list only to have the car break right before the event. It's already broken, which makes it less annoying.

I agree, I had a car with a cage, and it was a complete pain in the ass for the little amount of time actually spent at the track vs. driving on the street.

If you're referring to your question about safety equipment, nobody can promise you to be able to run without the required safety equipment  Just know that they are a little more relaxed for private events. If you get kicked out, it's not the worst thing, I was actually pretty happy to get kicked out of the track for lack of safety equipment, considered it an accomplishment  Just go, have fun, and when you know you're going to go too fast, make sure it's next to someone you really want to beat, that way if they do tell you you can't run again, at least you didn't waste it

I'm just hoping to make it. I got hooker headers for my car (yes, the ones they actually make for Impala SS's, not some one size fits all) and I guess hooker feels that a car with headers shouldn't have things like A/C and heat. The drivers side fell right in, the passenger side is wedged in against the A/C lines and the heater hoses run right across the top :? Tonight I am going to be trying to reroute the heater lines and bend the A/C line back far enough where I don't have to worry about it. I should be ready in time, but I hate last minute shit  Sometimes things are better left alone.

woohooo i am officially off work that day now...

direction woul be umm..from st. pete.

I-275 South. Go across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to I-75 South. Take exit 220 onto SR 64 (you'll see a cracker barrel on your right). Go east 9 miles. Track is located on South side.

yes the exits start from like 5 so dont get confused..just keep going, it jumps from like 5 to 210 like within a mile of each other...and remeber the east..when you take the 220 exit there with be a split in the road, take east...just keep going the 9 miles u wont be able to miss it.

the map.

I thought the list was going to be restricted to a certain amount like 100? I noticed its well over that now???

With so many cars it seems like it will just end up being just like a Thursday night Test and Tune except on a Thursday you only pay 15 to be able to run your car including admission...

Hmm, it should be interesting to see just how this long list works out. One of the biggest advantages of these events are the low-to-no wait lines. I remember that last time Scott said they eventually opened it up to around 100 cars because the lines were short, so, hopefully it works out.

We had 119 at the last event and never a line other than a breakdown or two., we are going t 125 this time.

The reason why there are no lines at our events even when we had 100+ cars is because unlike a regular T&T days we will not have bikes and pro cars slowing things down. Plus Thursdays T & T usually averages 200 + cars, quite the difference.

Last but not least many pf the people that come to the track day do not hotlap likt T&T days. They seem to make a run or two then go B.S. with friends.

The line will be very low if any.

If I get my DeLorean out there I'll race you! Totally 80's race!

I used to own an SL so I feel your pain. My 380SL got like 8 MPG & was a 15 sec V8 :(
