Questions about auto-X and automatic cars

I am just wondering what kind of turnout you guys get with automatic cars in autocross. I am getting a manual car soon but was wondering if it would be acceptable to come try in my current car.

Nothing wrong with trying it out, but it sucks hardcore if it doesn't make a decent amount of power. I tried it in my Integra....and it was just hell.

Too many beginners are FAR FAR too worried about what gear they're in, and now how to drive.

I raced my automatic cavalier z24 convertible for several years and embarassed many chumps with it. The great thing about driving an automatic is that you never have to worry about what gear you are in. In my car, all I had to do was leave it in second and the transmission took care of the rest. ;)
