Hate to be the first to say, but I heard that the new 2005 crx is gonna be one of those hybrid electric shits. If you go to www.crxsi.com on the front page it shows the a drawing of it and you can click on it and read up about it, i just thought it was pretty stupid to make a car that was one of hondas performance sport cars and make it a hybrid, but hey, just my opinion. -Ben

a new rex was already made . .its called RSX. . . . when i park my rex and the rsx next to eachother they look identical . . .

however, on topic: i think honda would be dumb not to produce another CRX . . . i dont think the power plant should be an issue, people will be ripping them out for better motors eventually.

Price will be a major issue though! . . .there is no way in hell a CRX is worth more than $25,000. . . . they better make it affordable . . . I'd like to see em priced like a Scion.

Hello...it's been around for years (there's another one out there also), and was done by a grapic design company overseas....

NO NEW CRX..............

and oh yeah....REPOST!

I heard that the pic in the first post was a photoshop of a Insight made to look like "someones" version of a new CRX... I could be wrong, and if I am, Vito will let me know ;)

yeah thats a photochop of the insight, when i use to do some mad chopping that thing came up a while while back.

damn, beat me too it. that is definately a beautiful car and i would love the new CRX to look like that. but that pic has been floating around the web for a few years and has been posted on TR about 5 times that i've seen. photochopped insight.

i wander if you could do that to the insight, open up the rear wheel well, drop a nice motor in it and ride out.

That is just an Insight with a body kit (nice though). There is talk of plans to make a new CRX. Base model calls for electric hybrid for gas mileage, but the sport version will have the K series engine found in the new Civic Si hatchback. Big deal right, well the car is supposed to be well under 2000lbs. and shooting for mid 14 second quarter mile passes. This is all rumors I've heard for several websites and forums.

I've also been thinking, if they make this car, a K20 series engine is a swapable option. Can you image a K20 series in a sub 2000lbs car. Front wheel drive Lotus. :D

it does definetly look like a Crx, but it also looks like the insight without wheel covers in the rear.

actually....ive heard rumors that there will be another CRX...ive seen other portotype designs and what not...there have been a lot of different rumors and all....i used to have a link on my old computer that had all the info that i am talking about but im not sure...the insight is built on the CRX chassis just new style body designs...if honda dropped a k20 series moter in it...it would be ungodly fast....maybe even able to run with the s2000.....it would sure as hell be faster then a ITR...but this is just my .02

I work at Honda up north here in MI there is a truck coming out in late may or early june that I have been told about but nothing about the crx thatd be diff if they do come out with it ill let u know if I find out anymore
