i knew i should of went tonight but stayed home and sandblasted and cleaned up the rearend i'm putting in my car. i'd like to have seen you guy run. anyone going friday?

Well, I guess I finally got my timing and carb sorted out, because the car went 6.08 @112. I am trying to sell the motor out of the car to help me pay for rebuilding my other motor. I had some guys come over and tell me they wanted the motor, so we worked out a price and they went to get the money and I went to pull out the motor. Now the olny reason I semi trusted these guys, is because they where with someone who I knew and trusted and they vowched for them.

Off to the shop I went and out came the motor. I probably had it out before most of you got home last night. Then I waited and waited and waited. Finally at midnight they call and tell me they are 45 minutes away and they don't have all the money. We changed the deal around alittle and they said they where on there way down. So I waited and waited. Finally at 3am I through in the towel, bastards!

As you can see from the time of this post I didn't get much sleep before having to go to work for 24 hours. I am too trusting.

O, I will be ready! I should have my other motor in the car next week and testing it at Sunshine on 3/17. I am hoping for 5.7's.

ZACSLS1 --- Thanks man, Talk to obrien2 he'll get your car hummin. He likes those F-bodies.

obrien2 --- To many kids with slow cars taking up space(I did an engine swap and now my car runs 10s in the 8th). Also they should have a night for just street driven cars no trailor queens/race cars. Checking registration and insurance cards would weed out some losers too.

Zac posted a 8.5 that I know of on one pass however he has some drag radials coming and with the right torque converter should hit the high 7's with no problem. His car does run sweet just has traction issues.

Launch leaves every week at 8:00pm. I will usually stay until 9:30. Come out and run.

my slicks are a 5X135mm bolt pattern if they will go on your car you might want to try them.

I have my radials back on but I don't think i'll be there this week.

his bolt pattern is the same as mine. 5x4.75. He just needs a diff offset than me. Zac what mods do you have? The 2000 z that I used to run had 3.73s, lid, free mods, and hypertech, my best 1/8 was 8.42 @ 85.5. It was also and auto. Try pulling your front sway bar off. It will help with traction. It only takes about 10-15 mins.

I think we should plan to go this week. It should be cool enough. I don't think we get much more cool weather this year.
