I wanted to make a few blasts in the R/T. So, I headed down to DeSoto for the Saturday test and tune. Well, if any of you guys wre there, youd know the place was PACKED! I only ended up making one run and it was a 13.0 @ 115. (Dont laugh...but the 1/8th was 8.7 @ 91.) I ran 15 psi boost in 1st and 2nd, and 22 in 3rd and 4th. Yes...the ET stinks for the MPH, but I bogged the car very badly :-( The track dead hooked like Ive never seen (and I wasnt even on slicks, but my gForce tires). It was wild! I figured if I had a another shot, Id be able to nail something sweet and planned on running 22 psi in all gears since the track was in such good shape and I was pretty sure the tires would hook. But, it was so busy, that lines were getting ridiculous, someone broke, etc, so we left. I didnt want to waste the whole day at the track as I had some yard work to do in the afternoon.
damn yo!
Thats some nice trap speed there!!

Pity the ET didnt match!
If I ran again, Im pretty sure I could have gotten a more reasonable run in. My guess is 12.0-12.2 @118 or so.
But, Ill have to save that for next time :D

yeah my 12.2 in the stang was a 114 with a 2.0 sixty - I'd say you've got some decent potential in there!

Good times man... I can't wait to see my car run that fast. By the way what size of bf drag are you using. I was using the 50/15 and I noticed that it was affecting my top speed but of course it did improved my 60 with them.

I have 225/50/15's. I wish I could go taller/wider, but I dont want to change out the wheels or mess with spacers, etc.

The one's I were using were the 205/50/15 I'm curious if the 225 may be a little taller than the 205 . I sold mines to get a pair of slicks but I don't know yet I might wait

I almost went down last Thursday to make a run at my goal of 12 flat on the gForce tires, but with the Super Chevy weekend, the guy at the track said the T&T session on Thusday night was going to be packed. So, I figured Id wait until next week.

225's will definitely be taller.
I use the gFroces on the car on the street. I have a set of M&H 23's, but I dont really want to use them as Id like to see what I can manage on the street tires.

it actually wasnt that bad...i got 5 passes in and my friend (owner of the SRT4) got 3 himself and we even let the car cool down several times.

Yeah with that mph you should be able to drop some time I got 12.9 @108 so I am thinking 12.5'ish??? But tire spin does give extra mph so it's hard to say?
