mr2 sucks

when i go to hit boost the car starts to sputter and doesnt really go any where at all

any ideas on what the problem could be......anything would be great

for what its worth , have you already checked your plugs and cables. I had the same promblem when my plugs fouled out. Also water had been getting in the 4th spark plug chamber after it had rained real heavy ....hope this isnt a major promblem ,good luck

they all seem to be fine

what really is strange is that i was hitting boost ok when i went into the gym but when i came out (1hr or so later) it wouldnt

it just sputters
if i dont get on it its feels fine but once boost comes around it shutters abd stuffs

You have a boost leak. Check all of your intercooler hoses and clamps. Check the clamps to make sure they are tight, and check the hoses for holes. Your intercooler hoses may be splitting, you have to look real close to see it.

What causes your car to sputter, is that there is less air entering the engine then is metered at the afm before the turbo.

That used to happen to me with my old mr2, but only after it rained...never did figure out what was going on. Wow, that was the least constructive post I've ever made. Oh well.

it was the bov so it been arranged to be taking care of tomarrow and like 10 in the morning

Water was getting on your coil and ingnighter. not uncommen for mr2's, i fixed this problem on a few cars.
