Is it bad to put upgrades speakers with the stock head uniti??

How important is it to upgrade the head unit??

Putting aftermarket speakers with a stock headunit will def sound better if the stock ones are blown. No harm can be done by putting in speakers that are better. Just make sure that if you plan NOT to amp them, that they have a lower power rating or you wont get the full potential out of them.

It is usually wise to upgrade the headunit also as they will put out power watts.

IMO, an aftermarket HU is always the very first purchase in a system. Your system is only as good as it's weakest leak. A better HU is going to process the sound much better than any stock unit, plus it's going to put out alot more power to your speakers.

I upgraded h/u before speakers.. but you can do it the other way around, both will make a substatial differance
