Well I have this kenwood flip face and it works fine but the screen went out. It sounds fine all the controls work but I cant see nething! Does neone have ne suggestions? Thanks guys

Where did you buy it from and how old is it? If you got it from a licensed distributor and it's still under warranty I would take it to them, otherwise you'll have to send it to Kenwood and you'll probably pay out the ass for it to be repaired or replaced. Might end up being more cost-efficient to just buy a whole new unit...

a lot of the older kenwoods had a problem with the ribbon cable wearing thru from the motorization, which what happened to two friends kenwood HU's.. you replace the cable or buy a new one..

see how much kenwood would charge you

if you know how to solder... then see if radio shack would have one you can work with.

I c....now where would I find this burnt out ribbon cable so I can see if I can replace it. I dont wanna take apart the whole thing lookin for this cuz im back at putting shit back together so if u could tell me rite about where it is that would b great!

all it is is a flat ribbon of wires that go from the face to the actual unit itself, like on many "flip" style headunits.
