ok..ive decided im not buying a real nice system, cuz paranoia of it getting stolen lol. so i was thinking bout just buyin a 10" basstube or somethin and throwin that in the back, or maybe like a single Alipine Type R/S 10" and a small amp....what r the pros and cons of both? i can get a basstube for like $100 where the system will be a lil more..(ill buy a used amp). how is the sound QUALITY of basstubes? how bout the Type R's/S's? id rather have really good sound then really amazing bass. TIA

When you say "basstube" are you referring to the Bazooka systems or just a tube enclosure?
SOunds like you mean a cylndrical enclosure... really makes little to no differance

I've heard cylindrical enclosures sound pretty good, but the Bazooka systems suck.
yah bazooka stuff leaves to be desired, its 90 percent midbass for most of it
as far as cylndrical enclosures.. i was under the understanding that sealed box enclosure shape makes little effect ont he sound itself

For a Decent little bump, i hear the Infinity Basslink is pretty good.

Yeah, for real virtualy no difference. To me a tube is just another enclosure option regarding space.

Internal shape does affect sound waves...
