Rain makes the roads so nice and slippery....

I was making a U-turn on Hillsborough (by the airport), and got the Expedition sideways with the steering wheel at a full countersteer. I didn't have to give it much throttle. Felt great. Then the wife bitched me out. I asked why? She said "don't even think about drifting my truck again." DAMN!

i agree. the rain is fun but when it's dry i have so much more control of the car and i feel more confident. but the rain still gives me somthing to do when i'm bored:)

potter you should have called me i went out tonight too

if i was as agressive in the rain as i was in the dry....i wouldn't have a car....so depending on where im at....and how much space i have before hitting tree or cruve or light pole....i'll hold back..... A LOT

I used to like the rain a lot, due to the quetness and ease of kicking it out, but due to the water affecting the pavement differently in places it isn't easy to predict how the car will slide (maybe into something). So I perfer the dry when seriously driftin, but if its raining I'll still go out and have fun... just leave a little extra space between me and the curbs...

æ86 - do you have a ae86?

i know what you mean about how the water affects the pavement in different places. last night i had a close call with a light post when i slid over a spot that was bit slicker.

zenki_s14 - haha its barely noticeable... I almost hit a light pole that night but just slid of into the grass instead...

æ86 - all I can say is club4ag.com - theres been a few fairly close and for pretty cheap. I was talking to a guy about a 86 gts hatch for $1300 that was in atlanta not to long ago... He stopped reponding to my e-mails, so I think he sold it..

Rain = fake 2 way LSD and power .

For that reason I love it . Control comes pretty easy in the rain if you knwo how to predict your cars movements . I find it much easier to slide around in the wet but I have far more control of the slide in the dry .

You have to think about your next move a good 5seconds before you do it and factor in pavement changes and lack of wetness etc .

Rains fun , my car got impounded , I went to jail .

Ahh well , Life is just another S chassis away .

When the road is even a little wet from mist you shouldnt drift on it. Very slippery and unpredictable. Believe me i know.

I've always liked rain for practicing more technical stuff and just getting used to keeping the car from spinning...it turns a small tight parking lot into a nice low-speed drift course. Not to mention my car is super stealth on wet blacktop, only thing you can hear is the gentle 'shhhhhhh' of my tires over the pavement.

i prefer wet cause my car is an auto for the time being.
