I am in the Hot Rod race!!!!

I just found out that I was chosen to be in the Hot Rod "pump gas drags". I am one out of fifty chosen throughtout the USA. Now I can un cross my fingers. I don't think I will win the race, but it sure should be fun just to be there. I think some big bolck turbo car will be top dog. No imports where chosen to race? Go figure, Hot Rod magazine didn't invite any rice.

Fantastic Mark!!! I know several of the F body entrants as well. I think you will be VERY competitive in this race. Top 5 I would think?

Thanks for all the support. I hope That I make a good showing. All I am looking to do is make the drive and three low 9 second passes without breaking anything.

I cut and pasted a list of the types of cars which are in the race. Only one Datsun?

I am not sure of all the requirements Hot Rod used to pick the fifty cars, just a few. They had to be faster then mid tens and the cars had to be legit street cars, no lenco or bruno transmissions. Besides that, I guess Hot Rod can chose to invite whoever they want. the rules are posted on the Hot Rod web site below.

thanks mark....i think thats a good idea, give them 15 gallons for the weekend, make em drive 30 miles to the track and have to atleast go a certain speed.
