My friend had something wrong with his Profile CL600 amp. Apparently its toast, but he's trying to figure out what went wrong. He wrote this out for me to ask you guys to see if you guys can help:

" The fuses blew and so I put new ones in, but the prongs were getting burnt. I proceeded to remove the electricity in wire and then the ground wire. I replaced the fuses and plugged in the ground wire. I then replace the electricity in wire and the amp began to spark inside and smoke came out."

Any help would get greatly appreciated. Thanks.

yeah, i dont think he looked too much before buying that amp, he just really wanted to get a system, so i guess he just bought some shit he got a good deal on.

Yeah, no offense, but Profile is very low end. I actually had one a long time ago, never had a problem with it though. Does he have anykind of warranty? Sounds like somehow the amp grounded itself.

Hes running a JL w6 and the stock bose speakers in his 99 Acura TL. I believe the amp is 450 watts.
