WHITE SVT mustang vs. 88 SI CRX

Last night like around 9pm-945pm. A white very nice SVT on bayside brigde which had to be brand new cause he has a new plate on and it was the newer design not sure and a blue cavilar with a grey I guess unpainted body kit who tried to play.

First of all I thought svt's are supercharged and are suppose to be fast. I couldnt see the driver his or hers windows were black as black. My car for some strange reason was runing very well last night after I left sunshine heading home. Couldnt get the SVT to play at all until halfway on bayside bridge. Went from a roll of course I know I still could have taken him from a dead stop. This thing had to be automatic or he or she couldnt drive worth a shit. Anyways this all started when I pulled onto 49th street heading towards clearwater and notice a blue cav. playing with a svt at the stop light. I was speeding up to watch. Then I was thinking of joining in on the svt and the caviler with the ugliest body kit ive ever seen.


So the caviler is on the far left lane driving like a jackass speeding up and slowing down taking like 4 whole seconds just to get up to speed I finally get on the svt and he gets on it. When from like a 70mph roll till 100 or so I dont know the speed it was for about 8secs(iam guessing) a quick run cause I was passing him from the start like nothing. He give up! or gets pissed cause he just bought it. hahaaaa. :lol: Nice car though. Just to be safe it was just us on the bridge 3 cars total . I wont race anyone with traffic. Its nice to have a whole bridge to yourself and no sign of cars. :) This is the first time ive acuttaly have gotten to get on it since ive fixed my car although ive still have a little bit more things to clear up.

I'm guessing it wasn't an 03, probably a 99 or 01 that was recently purchased. First, no Cobras are automatic so it has to be a manual. Did you hear the Supercharger whine? Its impossible not to hear it at the speeds you are going. It is a very loud whine/whistle...if you didn't hear it...its not an 03. Even if its a shitty driver - you went from a 70mph roll and the 03 cobra drivers that aren't good usually are bad at the launch because of the IRS.

How bout this. I am basically an '03 Cobra without a blower. You beat me and then you can race a real '03 Cobra, not a V6 with badges and exhaust. There is absolutey no way you beat an '03 Cobra from a 70 mph roll on with a 13.8 car, not possible. What is your trap speed? Those cars trap 110+ off the showroom floor and that's what you worry about when roll racing, E/T means shit.

By the way, I believed you until your post where you said you heard the blower whine. It could have easily been a '99 or '01 with a bad driver or not trying.

I would love to run somone on the board with a stock svt like the one I raced. I dont get why I post on here but keep coming back once I make a worth while kill to tell people. I cant keep it to myself. But anycase I know i MIGHT have taken him for a dead stop I was curious to see but I got off the exit and he kept going straight down mcmullen booth. And what exsacttly is everyones same defention on a sound of a Supercharger??? I bet everyone would come up with a differnt discription of the sound. A spining sound or whatever you want to call it. Car does not run 15.whatever. to whoever said I ran 15.8 or some shit. And i made a mistake the badge was on the passenger side. Just so the ones that nick pick evertthing out of what I said.

I have not ran the 1/4 mile yet on my crx. Maybe thursday night at bmp. And I want to state again that 9.7 with the tires I have now which are FZ4's which really really suck they never hooked up even letting the tire pressure down to 25psi. which helped alittle bit. The 9.7 being in the 1/8 which I know is not fast but that is from a dead stop and not great traction at all. From a roll this car is awsome.

If I want to really be technical maybe the mustang man was just flexing on me and wasnt really racing me maybe he just steped on in to make me back off or maybe I wasnt worth his time and he was getting sick of me flexing on him. But whocares anymore that night felt good knowing my car runs great now after I got all the major bugs fixed. O well. But if anyone wants to run me with a stock supercharged svt from a roll which I know alot of you think is gay, pm me it would be just for fun. I would much rather be proven wrong then standing here being a idiot. It doesnt matter to me I could care less.

what iam trying to point out though is this was not from a dead stop! like a 1/8 mile is. Hondas have nothing for torque and this is only a stock b16 with a few mods. PM me Car happen to be runing great that night. I would like to run again at night with a svt stock. I want to go from a rolling start I already know about a dead stop with a svt I would die.

1/8th mile trap speed doesn't say as much as 1/4 trap speed, but it's likely that your sub 100 int he 1/4 with a 75mph trap. You would probably hit 95-98 1/4 and that isn't even beating a stock 99+ gt let alone any cobra of any year, especially an 03.

You raced a v6 cobra clone. A friend of mine use to have one and you couldn't tell the difference especially night time without a real good look at it.

My T/A runs the 1/8th 8 seconds flat @ 89... and it's only got a lid and muffler. Stock 03 Cobra's put up a hell of a fight with me from a roll. There's no way in hell you walked one who was seriously trying.

Iam saying I took on a svt from a roll. I acuttaly dont even remember the speed limit and how long it was. He jumped on it and I got on it. I gained the sec we started then slowed down to the speed limit when we where coming to the split where clearwater exit is to the 60. I dont remember how quick we ran for but it wasnt that long. If you picture a 1/8 mile track we raced probably half that. So like I said above it was less then 8 secs. sorry 8secs to me is quick. I drink alot of moutain dew and it throws my memory out of wack. it wasnt a long run. It was from the end of the top of the hill to the exit point. Iam sure alot of you have been on that bridge but as it starts going down hill and leads to the exit. He started from the top of the slight hill down to the exit where it splits.

All i have to say is i have seen this and rode in this kind of race.Modded 98 ss with basic bolt ons runs 12.7's in the 1/4.Modded gs-t eclipse runs 14.0 in the quarter.Guess who wins every race from roll?The eclipse beats it by at least 3 cars till they shutdown.Btw the eclipses best 60 ft it 2.8.I believe its possible but i guess i wasnt there to witness so....

Maybe in that specific example that's how it went, but et has nothing to do with roll racing. Trap speed does and that's what we're trying to measure here.

A sub 100mph trap speed car says he walked a car that will trap 110+ bone stock. Who do you think would win?

jerry is making 400/400 last i recall, doing like 11.01 in a 2600lb car.

project goodwill is running mid 12's and is gutted to the extreme...it is in every aspect a track car...especially with the 1 gallon fuel cell and slicks. not 300hp i dont think yet..not to the wheels anyway.

btw, there is a local full interior Z28 making 310 to the wheels...running 12.1's

im sure i could get my car into the 10's as it sits if i decided to throw slicks on it, pulley up an dremel the fucking piss out of it.

the white cobra you raced was my friends the one that filmed my race with the SS...he had been at sunshine that night...and im affriad your 9.7's will not hol up at any speed to his 8.5's...he told me he just left it in 4th and that you didnt walk away not at all...i've run him where he's left it in 4th at 60 and it's all i can do to keep up for a few moments...and i dont run 9.7's...so ill tell you what you wanna see that '03 cobra again you gotta run my honda first for 20 from any speed...then win or loose ill let you see what happenes when the snake puts it in 2nd....BTW no temp tag and the only mod is nitto 555R so i recomend you dont try it from a dig....

And like I said when i was at the track I was geting shit! for traction, I spun till about 3rd till I acuttaly hooked. toyo proxes with about 20 psi in the tire.
