(Cfr-W) G.I.R., Gainesville - West Coast Points Event #1
(Gcr) Pensacola
Saturday - 24th
Sunday - 25th
(Bucc) Jax., Whitehouse Airfield - #1
(PcaG) Hollywood Greyhound Track
Saturday - 31st
(Evo) Phase 1 - Tavares, FL <IS 300 group, but open to all cars>
Yeah, I read that, but I have no experience in this area and don't know which ones would be good for a 1st time autoXer.

Keep reading the other sticky's.... (it's a pet peev of mine... alot of us spent a LOT of time putting together and maintaining the info and calendar threads so that people can easily find information and get to understand what autox is and nobody ever reads it ....)

I'm not so sure this question is adequately answered in one of the sticky posts. (though I haven't read them in a while)
Of the above events, the EVOlution Phase I school would not be a good choise for a first event. It's a rather expensive autocross school. Very valuable, so I hear, but you'd get more from it if it wasn't your first time out.
I believe any of the rest would be okay. Almost all regular autocrosses are open to novices. I'd suggest visiting individual club's websites to verify that none of them are special events of any kind. Maybe email a club contact and ask questions, especially if driving any distance is involved. (sucks to drive for hours to get to an event only to find that you can't run, or forgot to bring something or whatever)
Not on the schedule: The PCA event of last Sunday has been rescheduled to this Sunday. That's "the next" autocross in this area as far as I know.
And the next SunRiders autocross in St. Pete is Feb 22. You're always welcome there.

A good event for 1st time autoxers is the GCAC (http://www.gulfcoastautocrossers.com/) event down in Ft. Myers. They have an autox school Saturday morning and a practice course in the afternoon. Check them out.

A good first event may be the Porsche Club of AMerica / BMW-CCA event being held this Sunday (1/25) at Zephyrhills airport. It's a relazed enviornment and you should be able to get a novice instructor involved.
A Sunriders Driving school event would probably be ideal, but I don't see one of those coming up anytime soon (maybe their 2/22 event would be good).
