I have a question for those of u who had one. When i got it installed they installed the antenna that goes into the car into the headliner where the windsheild is that way you cant see it at all. Well the problem is i dont get very good reception for some reason. I parked infront of wal mart, went inside and pressed the lock button and i got no signal. Wtf...should i reinstall the antenna onto the windshelid itself above the rear view mirror? the reason i ask is because i dont wanna take apart all this stuff jus to reinstall the antenna and it not work. Any suggestions?

Maybe it's just the fact that you were inside of Wal Mart. I'll be in there sometimes and not even get reception on my cell phone. Between the concrete walls and interference from all the electronics in there, I can imagine it's difficult for a signal to be very efficient. Just a thought.

hmm i think i may remount the antenna above the rearview mirror on the glass then. Its in the headliners and u cant see it and i wouldnt imagine it would get great reception. And suprakid, i coulda afford the one with the remote start and shit. I jus got the 690 xv

i think u should take it back to the place you got it installed and tell them to reposition the antenna. because CC cant install anything right the first time.

oo that kind of alarm ant... in that case leave it like that and check to make sure that the extra wire is fully extended and not coiled up and ziped tie under the dash. for best results ant wire must be fully extended hope that helps

Is your alarm the 2 button or the 4 button remote?

Mineis the 4 button with all the options, I don't recall how the guys mounted mine, but the range is really good. The only problems I've had with it are

1. There are alot of other cars that might be jamming the frequency ie range of your remote.
2. Sometimes for extra range I touch the remote to my chin and it extends my range by half.
3.Also if you drop your remote a handful of times, the battery terminals can become loose therefore giving you the perception of a shortened range as well as make you think you have a drained batttery. In that case, just open the case and manually tighten the metal prongs so they are in complete contact with the battery ends. This has helped me out a bunch of times.
