Runs greta , the motor is very reliable . The stock Supercharger is clutched so when cruising around town it isnt even on .

GZE is just as reliable as a normal 4AGE , Bottom end on the MR2 GZE is 8:1 on the newer AE101 LEvin/Trueno's its 8.9:1 with oil squirters and a smalport head with MAP and DLI igntion .

Its not a hard swap at all . little wiring and piping fab .

BTW this should be moved to Toyota Tech

What car would you be putting it in?

but an SR20 would hold a great premium, considering Race Warz is coming up soon.

yeh i was readin about the motor in an old 88 road and track issue, and it would be goin into 87 corolla gts...yeh i heard you gotta do some plumbin for the intercooler, or else you gotta cut a hole in ur hood or somethin?

On the SC MR2 the "hood" lid is designed to have a low pressure above it to suck air out through the intercooler. With your normal hood, the intercooler would be inefective. - Just front mount it. It's more effective this way also.

and ignore the sr20 fans, the 3sgte is a way better engine + it's a toyota. I'm basicly doing a 4agze in my car, but with a lysholm...

SR 20 vs 3sgte will be a forever battle.. Nobody will come out on top here...

Motors are equal it seems.. with people making 550+rwhp on stock blocks........

Problems with the 3sgte only come with the mr2.. they seem to need more boost and fuel to run the same power as a FR mounted SR 20...

HOWEVER this isnt due to the engine as much as the packaging of the 3sgte inside the mr2 in a mid rear setup... Restriction of flow is just a trade off you have to deal with for MR traction and handling (MR2Driver seems to make up for power defecits quite well LOL)
