I've never really worked with glass or bondo so I don't know what to expect. But I need a boost gauge and I thought this looked really clean and close to OEM. So tell me what I'm in for...

You can actually use one of the aftermarket A-pillar pods to use as your base to cover with the material to match whatever yours is made out of.

Looks like thats what they did but with the bolt on pillar pod not a full replacement.. you can tell on the 1st picture.

do they make a pillar pod for your car already? if they do I'd just attempt to civer it with some flocking or alcantra or whatever

but if not I cnahelp you out with the..it snot TOO hard but wont be too easy to say the very least

You an make a mold out of an existing pillar pod that someone may lend you.. and another mold from your existing A-pillar... but covering an existing pillar pod would be alot easier than making your own.. and it would look the same since they will be covered to match anyways.

I'm pretty sure they do make a-pillar pods for your car...my neighbor has a jetta and he's got a dual pod.

I may just do this but it's pretty bulky http://www.42draftdesigns.com/images/mk4apillar12.jpg

I like the first pod ALOT better. Bondoing itself isnt really hard... its the sanding/finishing..

well I would rather do something like the first pic. I figured if I could get an extra a-pillar and a pod I could shave it down so it and then just mold it into the pillar and recover it. The second pic was actually an aftermarket pod you can buy.

I don't understand the problem. Get an aftermarket a-pillar pod. Then you can mold it in or whatever you like fairly easy. I didn't even bother molding mine, just painted it to match.

I agree, I am a big fan of the stock/understated/non-bling look.
