I was pretty impressed with SoundAdvice...for a chain store it's actually got some decent stuff and nice displays. Prices anywhere local, though, are going to be alot higher than if you buy online.

u are right about the selection at devine sounds...all they got for speakers and amps are kicker, mtx, alpine, kenwood and the head units they got like kenwood, alpine, clarion and maybe a couple of other brands but if u like any of those they do great buisness and always try to keep the customer happy
and the located on the southwest corner of mabry and waters

I would stay away from pawn shops dont know what the previous owners did to the stuff before the pawned it. I was in buzz off the other day the guy i talked to was really cool and nice. I dont really like going to shops seems like they just feed you bullshit about there stuff just to buy it.

No you want great stuff extremely cheap do this. Go to crutchfiled.com Fill everything about your car out and search for what you like subs amps speakers head unit whatever. when you find what you want go to epinions.com Then copy and paste the model to the search field and there you go most places over 2-3 day free shipping and no tax and epinions tell you where the cheapest place is to get your stuff.

Ya I go to crutchfield.com to find out what I might want. Then go to yahoo.com and use their shopping function to find the best prices. Usually like 30-50% off. Etronics.com has great prices on almost everything.

By FAR the best shop in the are is Sensous Sounds on Busch, but everything they have is expensive as hell! They only deal in high end shit. So if you ever wanna wet your pants just take a little field trip in there some time.
