Here are a few things you need to know before getting to the track on Saturday.

The track has a normal test and tune earlier on the same morning so when you get there you may see a few cars in already or even possibly still running depending on how busy they were. Please do not arrive prior to 3:00 so you are not in the way of people trying to leave.

When you get to the gate you will either pay $30 if you are already on the pre-register list or $40 if you are not. Keep in mind there are only 15-20 spots left to purchase at the gate and as I have told the thousands of people that want one of them it is first come first served. However if the lines are moving well after we start the race we will make a announcement that there are X amount of spots now open, it all depends. We have these Track Events to have minimal wait time so I am not going to jeprodize that.

There is NO LIMIT on spectators and the cost is $5.00. The TRack Events are as much a social event as they are a race so come out and enjoy even if you do not race. If you are just spectating please DO NOT PARK ON OR NEAR THE STAGING LANES. Park by the fence near the track or in the grass median.

As a added bonus there should be several professional NHRA Pro Stock cars (running in the 6's) at the track doing some testing, they may or may not stick around for the evening we will see. But I do have some 8 second cars coming for sure. :evil2:

Please drive smart coming down 64 to the track and especially when you leave.

When coming through the front gate we will have a TR donation box set-up for server and software upgrades that we are looking to get, please throw in a few bucks if you can.

The proper safety equipment will be required so if you do not know what that is I suggest you find out by calling the track (941) 748-1320.

Also do not DRIVE THROUGH THE WATERBOX AT THE STARTING LINE unless you are FWD and are running slicks, otherwise RWD cars need to go around and back up. Dragging water on the track by driving through it makes the traction go away quick !

Most importantly have fun and be smart when at the track.

I will be walking around with a donation box for TR at the track day. Please realize TR functions based on volunteers and donations. Find me or one of the admins (Billy, Aharon, Zate, or John) to make a donation.

jay, you know better, you don't need to drive through the water box on DR's.(if that's not your question, of corse they will allow them.)

I think with the 2 pictures of Frances people won't have trouble finding her :lmao:

PS. if you think you won't remember what they look like, feel free to print the pix  ;)

Go to the gate and just tell them you are there to watch. They'll take your 5 bucks and you're in. Park your car in one of the grass medians or up by the fence near the track and have a good time.

How early can I get there if I plan to pay at the gate and race? Can I get there at 1-2pm, watch the T&T, then just stay in for the TR meet? Obviously I would pay the $40 to race.

I know BMP has not allowed this in the past. If you want to show up during T&T you have to pay the $ to spectate for that, then pay for our event. Gates open at 3pm for our event.

how do we know if we are preregistered?

Check the list...HERE (http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=119137)

Yes, AE sells them for right around 95-100 bucks.

Just introduce yourself to anybody you want to talk to. It's kind of hard at track day with everybody being so busy and last time there were tons of spectators that didn't seem to be on TR, but nothing is stopping you from walking up to somebody and introducing yourself.

I'm still a little confused. First it said that we are not allowed to get there before 3 PM. Then I think you said we can get there between 1 and 2 PM, pay the spectating fee for T&T and also pay the $40 to register to run your car or the TR Event? Or are we not allowed to do that that early (even if we pay the spectating fee for T&T)?

I think the idea is that you can get there as early as you want and pay to watch the test & tune but you cannot pay the $40 for the TR day until the gates "officially" open at 3pm.

Billy

Correct, if you show up earlier then 3pm you will have to pay the fee for Test and Tune as well as the cost of our Track Event.

and 24/7, yes Frances will be running.
