and krystian..some guy posted it on the usfbullsh*t site ...thinking about going to it...supposed to be starting autocross racing with my friend...he's gonna let me drive his MR2 :) so if i go to orlando it will be with him probably..but its not really that fun without a supra :(

Jordan- my cars basically a stock '90 laser rs....the only thing i've gotten is rims...besides "stupid ricer interior crap" as people call it lol....its non-turbo and you guessed it: front wheel drive..its no fun and it's not even reliable since i always have a new repair...154k and still puffing :) I've chosen not to bother with engine mods just because of the risk..i need this car bad for local transportation....

Hmm, if you have the 2.0 DOHC non-turbo you can convert it to turbo fairly easily. As a plus, if you rebuild the engine (which you should, at 150000 miles) you can convert to turbo pistons and actually run decent boost (afaik the pistons are the main limiting factor, I think I'll search more on this topic when I next go to nabr.) But that would involve a fair bit of downtime, access to tools and a place to work on it, along with adequate mechanical skills. Just a thought for the future, though.

hmmmm i don't think i would spend money on another car that isn't my dream car. I'll repair this as long as i need to just to keep it running..it would be quite ignorant of me to take on a car payment for a car that most likely almost everyone already owns...i'll just wait until i can afford my favorite car....as for working on the DSM's engine...i have a place, tools, and friends with working knowledge...but it's just not worth it to me. Definitely a hobby, but I wouldn't have the time :( but it sounds like you know a lot jordan ! if i need DSM help i guess i'll know where to find ya :0) thanks for the engine advice
