ok well im wanting to play around with nitrous....
now I want a wet kit but is it posible to make a dry kit into a wet kit by useing a fuel cellinoid,the y spliter for n2o/fuel,fuel pump, and extra lines??? is this a workable idea or am I missing anything and also what controls the gas flow for the wet kit??? I would imagin there is a FPR of somsort and a fuel meter to control gas flow from the extra line on the y spliter....
let me know
thanks

KISS (Keep it simple stupid) (not calling you stupid hehe)

Just buy a wet kit....

correction you don't 'play around" with nitrous get yourself hurt....

yes that is possible with the y peice jet. it has a line going into it for nos and fuel that mixes at the end of the tip. you would need another fuel solenoid, a little bit of steel line, and some how tap into your fuel line to deliver fuel to the fuel solenoid (the pressuse from the fuel pump will be eneough, you dont need another fuel pump). And u use the same pill for nos that u do to get how ever much fuel into the intake.......i.e. if u use a 100 hp pill u would most likely use a 50 "hp" jet for the fuel...and then wire the fuel solenoid to the nos solenoid so that they open up at the same time..........But to save all the bullshit and confusion u r better off spending the extra money and getting a wet kit...

cool...also Im sorry "playing around" was not a good choice of words...but the reason i ask is I can get my hands on a dry kit for around $150ish and most wet kits are about $625ish, but from what iv read so far is the fuel should be a 15% amount of the n2o...I not doubting you I was just doing some research on line and i would much rather take the word of somone local rather than somone whom I have never meet LOL on some web site....but the hook up and wiring of the kit is no big deal I just want to make sure my concept of the A/F is corect i realy dont feel like melting my pistions....and seeing as this is my first n2O engine build I would like to do it right the firs time and not the second im not one for pulling an engine any more times than i have to...
thanks and please keep the good info coming

First, research the size shot you want. That will tell you what size jet you need. All you need is the wet nozzel, and a fuel solonoid (don't use a nitrous solonoid they are diffrent). Tap into your fuel supply. The best thing I can think of is get 2 carb fuel filters (ones that will screw into your fuel solonoid). Cut your rubber fuel hose that runs to your fuel rail and put the fuel filters into each end. So now you have a supply for your fuel. If you need more help, just ask.

the more fuel u use the better i would go at least 40% and not 15% but it all maters what shot or hp jet u are using. How much are u going to spray?? (nos jet)

Before you and these guys end up blowing your engine just go by a performance shop and ask these questions. There is way more involved than what has been asked and what has been answered.

Nitrous is not an overly complex subject. Anyone can comprehend basic nitrous useage with little problems. PM me if you have any other questions or concerns.

Oya and befor i forget this is NOT I repete NOT going on a stock engine....so befor this gets to crazy I just want to throw that out there Im not the type to talk about my builds so dont ask...sorry
but I think so far I have gotten the info and resourses i need thank you all very much and I will kep checking this thread to see any more usful info

let me know how it goes. Ive installed countless nitrous systems, and have converted dry kits into wet ones with ease.

yes you can turn it into a wet kit.

youll need a fuel solenoid from holley(they make the best as far as i am concerned) some steel braided lines, and you can use an NX shark nozzle (combines N2O and fuel) and if i remember correctly, some of the SOHC fuel rails have schrader valves that thread perfectly to a -4AN line. the fuel pump should keep the pressure fine. Put an FPSS (fuel pressure safet switch) so you dont squeeze with too little fuel pressure and blow. try to retard about 1 or 2° of timing per 100hp. And talk to john about getting some dyno time to check out the AF or go to like lmengineering.com(i think) and pick up a wideband o2 assembly, they run about 350...just something to make sure your in a good AF. if your worried about traction, a progressive setup (ie. 3000rpm = 35hp/7000rpm=150) might help out a little from the initial hit.

using the
Holley(NOS) specs here are the jet sizes for n2o/fuel
50 .037 .020
75 .042 .022
100 .047 .025
125 .055 .029
150 .063 .034
175 .070 .038
200 .082 .044
250 .093 .050
