Radar detector Ideas..

So yeah I know radar detectors basically just show you where the automatic doors are, and where other radar detectors are.. but

Where is the sensor in the radar detector? Im thinking of picking one up, and dismanteling it, mounting the sensor part at the top of my windshiweld, and making a pod for the display elsewhere, flush it in somewhere.. maybe mold it into my a pillar who knows..

I've never heard of anyone taking them apart but it shouldn't be an issue because passport sells the remote sensor dectors(they're like 1000-1500).

yeah thats the hotness. I do need a rearview mirror.. maybe I shoudljust tear apart the mirror housing and mold it in there?

yeah you could scratch the reflective film off the back of the glass. I think they use some like two-way mirror or something, not exactly sure.

I have a sensor on the rear view mirror, rear window, front bumper... and the actual unit is in my dash under the radio.

i dont have the space for that.. looks cool, but i think Id be better off remolind the plastic housing for my rear view.

im mounted my v1 like that so it has a front and rear view of all that goes on.

in tampa i find that its best not to throw off the x band. the other day i found three cops running it, so it seems they like to mix it up a bit.

i have the remote display which im thinking of putting in the middle gauge pod, not too sure yet.
