If you want a nice clean look and a strong hold you will find someone who does a nice tig...

also it depends on the material, i believe MIG is hotter and is not recommended for aluminum and such...you'd have to look into it as im not positive.

You can do almost everything with a MIG that you can a TIG, the weld just won't look as good. TIG is the most expensive, and hardest to learn, but is the best looking, and least damaging to the metal of any type of welding. My friend just bought a new TIG setup for $1200 or so off of some web site. He can do aluminum and stainless.

Yeah TIG welders are not cheap and TIG is for stainless and aluminum...It will be a much nicer looking, stonger holding wled if done the proper way. MIG is just ugly and not as nice of a weld...Our company uses Pinellas Pasco Welding supply and they sell welders new and used... Try them 727-443-2116
