One kill tonight -- I think it was surfnerv89. Went from a roll the first time and misunderstood the start. 2nd run, I gave him a car out and put 4 or 5 cars on him.

He can respond to the actual distance, it was too hard for me to tell.

It was a fun run. There was a little misunderstanding the first run, but the second was a little better. I knew I was gonna get my ass handed to me when I saw the TA behind me. He ended up about 4 or 5 cars ahead. No longer am I stock, as I just put the pulley and chip in. along with intake, and exhaust.

Yeah, definintely. I should have my idler put on next weekend, so no more belt slip. Me and my brother ran, and we were very close, he edged me off by 1 car until 120. It was reallly close.

It was, indeed, a fun little run, but to say 9 cars :roll: I think that is a bit much. I obviously didn't stay in it until 160, but at around 120 or so I shut down, and it was no more than 5 cars. Keep in mind I was in first, and bird_of_prey was in second when we took off. I would be more than happy to go again with him not spraying and at 9 psi, like it was that night.

Did you race him on the Howard Franklin? I was with him and if so he coundn't get in 3 rd gear his shift forks were bent. Did you consider that a race. It was 3 seconds long if so.:roll:

We talked after the race and you seemed cool. Just because you got beat bad doesn't mean someone was spraying you. Danny only has a 75 shot anyways... since when does that 75 shot put your 4-5 cars you said on someone. And about the 9 psi normally he runs 11 psi. Just because your cobra can't handle 9 psi doesn't mean he has an advantage. You have a better S/C than him anyways. You have a roots style you don't have to build boost like him. Enough said mod up and give us a call. If you want to run again Danny will give someone the bottle and we can run for Cash. :D

Dude, I was cool about it, and still am. Chill out. I know that he was not spraying ( as I said ) and I know that he was only running 9 psi ( as I said ), but that's not the point. I just re-read my post and I think you misunderstood what I said. I said that I would like to go again the same way it was that night, meaning him running 9 psi withough spray. I was just stating that it was not 9 cars, it was definitely not more than 5. I was the one behind, and I could judge the distance well from there. No doubt His TA is fast, it's really fast, but there is no need to double the distance of cars, of that particular race. About my car not being able to handle his 9 psi, that's right, I couldn't, but I'm plenty happy with were my car is. Sure if he was spraying and running full boost it would've been alot worse for me. And I don't really care if I lost, His car is pretty awesome, and I don't mind losing to a car like that. I was simply stating the facts in my previous posts.

1 type R i did race on howard franklin, we did race 4 times, i did pull away 4 times, i believe you about the gear, but he wouldnt stop to talk afterwords so i can only comment on what i see, and if he missed a gear what about the other 3 times we raced. I was told that car has like over 600 hp. He should be able to beat me, i do have 1 of the lowest boosted cobras around and have a slipping clutch, im just stating what happened

Only the 87's where made at his factory. So my title says Shelby not Dodge. Pretty Rare car. The car does not have Dodge Emblems either. It has Carroll Shelby Emblems "CSX" Pretty fast I've seen stock car with just the boost turn up to 20 psi run 12.53. It's only a 8 valve car too. You can go to

First run.. 3 honks and i pulled him by about 1-2 cars . I then missed fourth and he caught me before i could get it in gear. He said he didn't know we were going, even though I said "three honks and go". As i caught back up to him giong towards race two I notice him fumbling with something in his car.. Hmmm I wonder... Next race 3 honks. He kinda jumped the third honk but that doesn't matter he pulled away pretty good. Even on an even start I wouldn't have caught him. It was fun. He said he was runing between 17-19psi on a t28killer turbo. So I wasn't too dissapointed with my 10psi on a t25 :). But everything is for sale . Ill be back to n/a this weekend :(

Not sure what he was figiting with the second race, but anyways...... His car is automatic so the first race he missed the honk thing and yes you pulled him until you missed the gear, the second race he pegged it just before the third honk so it would downshift and give you a clean race, otherwise an auto will lose all day in the downshifting time....... but there was no nos or boost turning up either if that's what you were trying to imply.

I was implying the boost control. his car is quick no doubt. But there is no way it took him from the time i went through 2nd gear into and through third to downshift. He should have passed me immediately after the downshift. i was looking at him in my rear view at the top of third. With the way he pulled on the second run, I just find it hard to believe "the downshift" is what caused me to jump far enough ahead i was watching him from my rear view. None the less, it was fun and his car is quick. i'll be back to n/a this weekend so my fun with a t25 on 10psi is over.

not a cobra, i have an 86 coupe mustang, nobody ever wants to race, just talk about it, i thought we were "looking for prey".

i may or may not win if we do run, my car is pretty quick but ive seen some of those ws6 trans ams run hard, so it should be fun if we can make it happen
