I'm so there. I'm always up for driving the crap out of cars that I don't have to worry about breaking or hitting stuffs with.

I'm into that. Not walking the course will be weird...

course = lane of cones every 6" apart. Turns don't allow much of "a line". Brake early, throw car sideways, DONT LET OFF GAS, hope it grips.
At least for the Mazda 6's.

I've head a rumor that Mazda only brings automatics out. Anyone know if that's true?
If it is anything like the C-spot...I am there.

for the competition, yes, only automatics. They had a few 5 speed cars for test drives, but amazingly:roll: . the clutches wear out really fast from morons who can't drive a stick.

The autos have the sport shift thing though I think. Not that that's any substitute for manual, but better than nothing.

barely, you had to shift at around 4000 rpm for it to recognize, and shift by the time it hit redline, otherwise, you just bounced off the revlimiter for awhile. Quite annoying. And the exhaust they put on the competition cars took away a lot of midrange and low rpm power, right where the automatic tranny kept you.

Do you think the level of fun makes it worth the price?

I liked it. The lines get a bit long, but I ended up knowing a few people there, went with a group of 4 of us....yeah, it was worth it.
ESPECIALLY if you don't have to drive to the event. I went upto Atlanta last year. Still worth it.

So far there is not a conflicting Autocross date, so I think $40 is worth it to beat on someone elses car. A rental Mazda 6 runs $29 per day w/o insurance.

it might make the mazda 3 feel good.... god knows the 6's were junk after having 1000's of morons abuse them.

Didn't know that....I'm sure Hertz will be flooded with 3's very soon.
My point was that it would cost you more to rent and autocross a Mazda anything than it would to run the Rev It Up...
Count me in! Me and my cousin went to the even in Miami this year. It started raining before our second run, so we got to slide them around a lot :)
