Ok i wanna get a hifonics amp thats stable at 1 ohm. My question is what if i drop the ohm load to .6 because i wanna put 6 10's on it. What do you guys think will happen, thanks

I'm guessing the amp would go into protect mode and shutdown anytime you crank up the volume for an extended period of time. First question...why not just go with 2 amps? Second question...why do you need 6 10's in the first place?
I know someone with 6 10"s in his durango and it's way too much for me.. sounds like pure shit from the outside
yeah what john said, it will slam for a bit but then go into thermal and shut off or clip
assuming theyre 4 ohms why dont you just go with 4 subs?

1ohm load is already pretty low... so a .6 load is extremely low resistance. I am guessing that a 1 ohm load on that amp for a while @ high volume will also cuase it to over-heat on a ot summer day. Also, usually with lower ohms, THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) increases...:(
Also.... 4 10"s or 12"s should be plenty.
