I romped on a light green probe in lakeland last week at the 1/8th hehe. First time we ran I had a bad launch and my secondaries closed before i hit second so it bogged down. The guy put on his hazards :lol: The second time we ran, I raped him in the mostly stock form escort, besides the MTX swap of course ahah. I think his best was an 11.20 something in the 1/8th

Yeah well my first run against mark was 17.86, and then the best of the whole night was a 17.57!

I lost to all the 9 cars that I raced except for the red Integra GSR!

Overall it was a fun night!

and the only reason that he saw those runs is because he was in his car the rest of the time! He ran his best of 11.07:nerd: :nerd:

Actually taws6's run was 11.86 for my visually impaired friends :) Kind of ironic because I wear glasses that the prescription is 2 years old.

That run he was off the bottle. 11.86 @116 was when people thought it was 11.06 ;) fyi He did run better on a half empty bottle, but he was definately having traction problems.

actually a 11.86@123 all motor so yeah i was deffiently have traction problems, and a 11.6@119 on the bottle (500psi) and the other run i sprayed off the line on misake and well was sideways through the 1/8 mile and someone told me it was like a 14.9@133 :lol:, but it was a fun run thats for sure ;) it was amuzing for all im sure i'll cya guys weds night at sunshine now that i got the tire patched

Believe me, I understand traction, and I also understand that with tire spin, mph goes up, not down, I also understand that 11.86 @ 123 screams tirespin (123 is 10 second mph), and I also understand that if this was truely a motor pass, the mph should be through the roof on a nitrous pass. I understand that the bottle was cold, but if their's enough pressure to knock off 2 tenths, you should pick up mph also. I picked up 13 mph just in the 1/8 the last time I was out between a motor pass, and a nitrous pass. Maybe somebody read the boards wrong (I could never get anyone to read my et and mph on the same pass at 1320 :lol: ), or maybe got the numbers mixed up. i love how you were not there but you know EXCATLY what happend but hey your god right :lol:, actually i do not spray off the line but at around the start of 2nd gear, and a 119mph is consistent with what i have been doing on the spray ( 11.3@121 on a normal test and tune day with track prep, also with 14lb in my tires) also one fact you should realive that during 1320 i was running 32lb in my tires.... so just maybe god that with that small fact tire spin can happen, but i just don't know sence you know so much about it enlighten me to my ignorance :roll:

OK, so you ran a 11.3 @ 121 at a normal test and tune, on the bottle, yet at 1320 you ran 11.86 @ 123 on the motor??? Then, just to be cute, you poked the bottle in 2nd gear, went 2 tenths faster than your motor pass, and lost 4 mph?????? It really is starting to sound as if your "motor" passes and your "bottle" passes are actually one and the same, the only difference being where you actually hit the nitrous, and your bottle pressure. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but the more you talk about your "motor" passes, the more I see the BS flag. If you went 123 on the motor, spin or not, that thing should be deep in the 130's with any decent size nitrous kit. You have to remember, mph is directly related to horsepower, yes it will go up some with tirespin, but you are not going to make more on the motor, than you will with nitrous, sorry, but your story can't be true.

I hate to gey involved in this but i have to start by saying everything the buick guy says is true to a extent(sp). I have been racing for a long time and just about live at that track. Now, I was there that night and did see TAWS6 run those times but i dont remember the MPH. He was having bottle pressure problems and traction problems most of the night. I do not believe he is saying anything that didnt appear to him to be true. Yes, the MPH with and without the spray seem off but i have seen a friend make mid 14 sec passes all night in a near stock Talon then out of no where a high 12 pops up on the board. Did he run that time. No it was a screw up in the clock. Also that board can look like one time and be another from time to time.It isnt the best display. There is so much to look at when breaking down a time slip. Like the first 60ft. A better 60ft can get a better time but lower mph. TAWS6 did run the times he posted, as for the mph for each time i wish i could remember but i do believe what he says is true to his knowledge. He has no reason to make it up. Not with the times he runs.

WHY NOT... Dont take this the wrong way but you should not partake in drag racing discussions. I understand you are young and still learning but i would sit back and just learn for now. I know you were there that night but you were also in line racing. everything this buick guy says makes sense in the racing world. Calling him a ass clown for his statements isnt helping TAWS6.

billy what you are saying makes perfect sence, but the all motor run the mustang i was racing requested a timeslip so i got to see it and it said 122.96 for my mph, it makes no sence to me what so ever. Please do not misake me for posting bullshit, i have no reason to, and i told the mustang i would race him NA and i am a man of my word (plus his shot was biger than mine and ran the same times as me with NOS so there for a NA vs NA match would be in my favor) BIlly your arguement makes sence but i know what i was told and what i saw on the timeslip and i realy have no reasonable reason to explain how it happend.

I know what I saw and it was 119 and 116 ... on his burnout pass I didn't see, but 11.60 @ 119 and 11.86 @ 116 is what i saw and am about 99% sure about that.

For the record: Tire spin does not always = more mph, it can often lead to less.
In my case I went from 74mph on street tires to 78 on slicks at the 1/8th.
