Do you mean the DEH-P6500? If so, I think it is a decent headunit. My friend has a Pioneer headunit and hasn't had a complaint.

Things i dont like about it:
1. 1-bit DAC
2. 2 Volt Pre-outs
3. CD signal-to-noise ratio 94 dB (could be a little higher)

Things I like:
1. Screen shows up good in sunlight.
2. Has some good tuning features.

If you aren't a big audio-geek like me, the 1-bit DAC shouldn't be an issue. Most low to bottom-end-of the-high spectrum of headunits are 1-bit DACs on most manufactures. For examples, only Alpine's CDA-7990 (F#1 Status) headunit has a 24-bit DAC. The Clarion Headunit I want (DXZ835MP) have Dual 24-bit DACs! The Pioneer takes it a step further with their DEQ-P9 and has THREE 24-Bit DACs, one for the lows, mids, and highs :o! A 24-bit DAC is supposed to sound more natural and overall produce better sound quality. I would prefer at least 4Volt pre-outs in a headunit as opposed to the 2Volt pre-outs, although it doesn't necessarily mean better sound. If you are interested in a good Tech Article about pre-out voltage, click HERE. (http://momentum.soundillusions.net/december01/momentumtech2dec2001.html) If you aren't ever interested in powering your system with an external amplifer for you speakers, then you won't have to worry about the pre-out voltage much.
