Yes I agree it was a good night at the track. I almost thought we were going to get rained out. Personal best with my car tonight in the cool weather. Had to leave about 8 to pick up my little girl. Did you and TAWS6 ever line up?

I thought we were going to get rained out too. I just put the slicks on and it started sprinkling. I never raced TAWS6. I did race the lightning and i lost by 1/10 of a second.:( He ran 8.1 and i ran 8.2:o

I ran 8.229 at 83.15. Thats the best time the car has run so far. Not bad for a stock sr20det. Wait till I upgrade after the first of the year. Hopefully I will get mods done before track day.

Looks like you won if I'm reading this correctly. I know JLsilver ran a better time than this at the beggining of the night. I almost got lined up with him tonight but ended up racing another car behind him. Got to admit that is one bad truck.

By the way when qitstrn and I race he was on his street tires. We both spun off the line and he was charging hard (I think he would have had me in the 1/4).

When i went and ran my best pass of the night. The guy at the starting line was telling me i didnt know what i was doing. That pass i had a 1.6 60ft. Most people dont understand FWD. The slicks are desighned that way for tire flex. Thats how you hook up in a fwd car. A 1.6 on 22inch slicks is great on a fwd car. To answer you question yes you need between 5-7lbs or air. After the burn out the tire pressure rises about 2 degrees. Belive me i look at my slicks and say damn they look flat. I was told thats what works so i tryed it and it works;)

I think TAWS6 is going to need a reverse hanns device and additional head rest supports if he launches any quicker. That launch in front of me tonight was out of control. Good job buddy. JLsilver sounds like you may be experiencing the same once you get those slicks on. Track day should be awsome if you guys keep at it.

I was pretty sure you knew what you were doing considering you have a 7 second 1/8th fwd civic. So I really didn't question the tire pressure. You just need as much surface area of the tire as possible to hook that thing up. That honda gets off the line as good as the bird, :lol:

That's funny the guy in the staging lanes said you don't know what your doing though. ;)

EDIT: btw, that bird was getting a little air under the tires :o

Yeah, I guess economy is over for everybody. I did get 17.4 mpg running 75-85 all the way to Daytona for the Turkey Rod Run last month and that's with no overdrive, not bad, gets aroud 14-15 in town. Ron, I bet that thing still does ok on the highway you still got 5th and if you stay out of the boost........... :wink:

I still got 29mpg at 80mph. This goes to show you hondas arent the fastest but lets say we do a cannonball run. I'll win over the V-8. You be getting gas and i'll be gettin some ass:lol:

I plan to go to bmp with JL next thurs. I am removing the few mods I have on my truck tomorrow so I can get some warranty work done. So I won't be racing again for a little while. I have to find some cheap wheels to put my nittos on so I can have a little bit of traction. Of course its not like I am all that fast lol...
