Guess you would find out sooner or later but leslie is right....not only will you have to turbo the crap out of it, but also build the crap out of it...aluminum blocks and open deck heads are not built for power. Anything can be done, but anything involves thousands of dollars.

Depends on what your definition of "fast" is. Those cars do pretty decently with basic bolt-ons and some sort of ecu reflash/hack, I remember tom mentioning it in a random thread months ago and I looked into it. Raises the redline, changes some other settings, makes a big difference. Or you could go the route of the k-series hybrid, take the type-s head and get a 2.4 liter block, the 100hp/liter should more than pan out. I haven't heard of it being done, but the jdm only type-r head should work even better. With all the other boltons and a proper setup probably ~260 crank hp, and then add some nitrous, and drag radials, and a good driver. It wouldn't be fast fast, but it would be respectable.
