How can I get rid of this faint whine sound coming from my speakers? It’s not very loud but when the volume is turned all the way down you can hear it just a lil. I have two soundstream amps coming off a power distribution block from a JL Audio wiring kit and the ground is connected firmly to the chassis. Power wire and ground wire are all 4 gauge wire. All wiring has been done correctly and no short cut has been taken during the install. Alpine head unit to a Sony equalizer with on a 5 speaker system and a stinger battery…..what can I check?
HU ground, speaker wire coming too close, rcas going by ecu

I have a VERY VERY VERY faint whining from my front comps. But that was kinda expected running 12guage speaker wire from the back to the front and through the dash, etc.
Gotta borrow my friends occiliscope and use the Avionoxx's CENS thingy to filter it out. Should be interesting......
My best bet would be to check all the ground wires first and make sure they are in good condition. You stated you aleady did that, but it wont hurt to check again. You can also try moving the RCAs and Speaker wires as far away from power wires as possible. It is inivetible that they get close though.... right around the amp :(. Are you using high quality RCA Cables?
Other than that IDK... :?

Is it all one ground? Is ur power and rca wires ran down seperate sides of the car? You can get some shielded RCA wires, they sell em at CC for like 80$ but you wont have to worry about nething gettin in the wires that could cause a wine. Also radio shack and best buy sell a kit where if u have multiple grounds it will get rid of the wine from that. Also another thing i can think of that happened to me is theres a speaker wire somewhere touching ur chasis of the car. Maybe installing ur HU, u didnt properly seal the connections? Just some thoughts from past experience

i know my rca's for a while we running under the center consol and through to the back and when i moved those i got ride of that whine, but my subs did it still when i played ps2 or watched a dvd, but i know from experience that sometime you can NEVER think that its your ground but it always is...
Move your ground a little farther away then the ECU and front of the car.
