Test & Tune BMP Thursday the 20th anyone?

Some friends that do not post here and I are all meeting up there for a night of running.
There's been some smack talk between a couple of them, so this will be the perfect oppurtunity to put up or shut up.

I'm hauling my old stationwagon up there for it's first passes down the 1/4 mile.

I'd like to see some of the talkers on this board show up.

My freind had one and it ran high 15's.You can bolt on a small supercharger,high flow cat's and an intake kit and be around 270 hp:o That should run a 13 flat no problem.:)

Yeah that Jackson kit looks cool. develops an additional 50 HP with only 5 psi. But, 3K is too much dough right now. Cool thing about the Jackson SC is that it does not void the warranty sicne its available from Ford dealers.
On some Focus forums some people claim to turn 15.2 bone stock.

Went great.I made three passe with the Harley truck and my best time was 13.50@ 101 mph.I couldnt be happyer.Out of three H/D's mine was the fastest and had the best ET.:)

track conditions kind of sucked could not hook up tonight at all. alot of people had the same problem.

The track was awesome in the beginning.
An NHRA Pro Stock team had been testing and were packing up as we were waiting at the gate. It was the Team Mopar Neon of Larry Morgan.

My car was spinning too much gear and ran out of motor around the 1000' mark, so basically I was no longer accellerating, just maintaining speed.

The first pass was the best, some tire spin out of the hole, but nothing too bad.
The second pass I was sideways off the line.

Hey fast forward how did the focus run? I saw you there, but didn't see you run.

Hotshot I was pretty disapointed in the way that superchared s10 ran. I expected alot better than 15.3. But if he just bought the truck, that would be understandable. I am glad to see that some people were happy with there times.

Yep,It was pertty lame.The guy who had it built just put a 4.56 rear end gear in it and has not changed the computer from the 3.73.That and the supercharger has a 25% dump valve that hurt's the 7 lbs of boost it produces.He could spend some time on it and get it better dialed in but he baught the thing just to put a Vette motor in it.It goes in the shop next week and will be done on Dec, 7th.He probably wont be at the track with it until after the winter break.Look for us then.I'm sure you will be impressed.Later....Rob Lankford.:)

That little truck is going to be bad ass when he gets the motor swap done. Is he getting an LT1 or LS1? What mods do you have on your truck so far?

I dont know,I know it has a one in it but dont know wich one:D My truck has a Diablo sport chip,a 10 lb lower pulley and a cold air intake kit with a scoop that collects the air under the front bumper.It's not much but it sure did wake this truck up from a 15. flat.:)

Well, I was a bit disappointed....in me mostly :? . The best I ran was a 15.9 at like 93mph or something like that...slips are in the ashtray. I never felt like I got a good launch. If I launched below 2800RPM it bogged out, anything around 3K and I spin like mad. I just couldn't find that sweet spot, the spinning got worse the later it got, why is that? Track cools off?
Anyway...Ford claims 15.7 stock with the SVTF, but many members from focaljet.com claim too easily pull low 15's stock.
I had fun nonetheless, I'll be back to try to perfect my holeshot.
If anyone has any pointers, I'm listening.
At any rate, autocross is more my game....maybe I should just stick to that.

What were your 1/8th times? A buddy of mine has a stock svt focus and I think he was running 10.4-10.6 at sunshine the one time he took it. I think the reason the track got worse was because of the air getting cooler, and was quite hummid, so I think there may haven even been a bit of moisture on the surface. I know my last pass I had my worst ever 60' of 2.5. But I can't complain too much about that run, because I was able to hold off my buddy in his lightning, He gave me just enough of a head start, lol, I know he was coming on had as hell. lol

They were in the early 10's. I think 10.3 or something like that. Proabbly could have been better had I not sucked so bad off the line. I had an in-car camera rolling, but I haven't yet looked at it, should be interesting to see.

a 2.356 minus your r/t was your head start. I wish the left lane 60' was working. I spun like mad through first and when the truck shifted into second it bogged out bad due to the tire spin. But I almost caught you. Good kill bastard!

TA it will only take you about 10 mins to take off that sway bar. I did that on a 2000 Z28. Its really easy. You just need to jack up one side of the car a little bit so you can get underneath. I'll see you guys there tomorrow evening.

havn't tried it on the L yet. But my stang has the sway bar removed and it drives fine. At any rate it only takes a few minutes to remove it.

Only mods are 3.73s and exhaust on a fox body :)
