SCCA.COM lookup SOLOII competitions. Good place to learn without crashing into walls, cones only.

Sunriders has an autocross on 11/15 in St.Pete. It's a good place to start as the courses are fairly low speed and lined so they're easier to follow. Very low key events as it's more "for fun" than competitive. www.sunridersautocross.com

What Brian said. Come on out. We'll let you watch, ride with other drivers, and/or enter in your own car.

If you're under 18, you'll need to bring a parent/guardian with you to sign the insurance waiver.

We promise you'll have fun!

The SPCC location that the SunRiders use is at 3200 34th St South in St Petersburg. Look that up on MapQuest and the following will make more sense.

It isn't too hard to find if you've not been there. You actually have to turn off of US19 (34th St) at 32nd or 36th Ave (there's a light at 32nd) and go East to 32nd St. The training pad is at the South end of 32nd St. You'll see us there.

I'll be at Moroso this Sunday and Sebring next month. You're welcome to come along for a few laps.

Sebring has schools several times each year. The most affordable are the ones where you use your own car and an instructor rides with you. Cost is around $250. Contact www.PanozRacing.com

If you're 21 you can join www.SAFEMotorsports.com and get the most track time for your money of any club around.
