ok heres the deal. my engines puttin out a fair amount of power, but doesnt seem to be fast enough, the 3.73 out back dont seem to be enough. i was wonderin if i went to a 4.11 would it still be very streetable with my 200r4.

3:73 is about as far as you want to go with the final drive gears in an auto car. Have you dynoed the car yet? What kind of power are you making at the wheels? I would say a better choice for you over gears would be a 2800 - 3200 stall converter and a 150HP fogger plate N20 system for your carb spacer. :D

Nah the Nitrous is safe as can be if done right. Easier to do on a car like yours with a regular HEI distributor and a carb than it is for a computer controlled car too.

I wouldn't see any streetable problems with a 4:11. You have an overdrive wich the final ratio is less that 1:1. If you had a 3 speed tranny I would say stick to the 3:73. Just do it. It will pull much harder but your gas milage will suffer some.

BTW, I normally do not like Monte Calo's but your car is beutiful.

im not sure on the gearing, but i have a .73:1 overdrive gear in my 700R4, with 3.23's im spinning 2500 rpm at 85mph with 4.11's id say that would put you in the 3500rpm range

actually i just found me a calculator.... with 245/60/16 tires, and a .73 OD gear, and 4.11's your doing 85mph @ ~3150RPM and about 2500RPM @ 65mph
